Playing for Pescara and playing for Juventus, the italian champions, are two entirely different things. Entirely different worlds. We can't expect Verratti to be included much next season. But I'm all for getting him, and loaning him out.

I'm not very keen on the idea of loaning him out.

I'd rather he was introduced straight away as someone who would get regular cameo opportunities as a substitute. We really need to reassess the way we deal with emerging talent. Recent history is littered with too many mishandled young players.

If we did sign him and he was loaned out I'd rather it was for the 1st half of the season only.

Verratti clearly has great potential and ticks all the boxes.

Well, yes, I suppose he should be in the squad so as to enable him to train with Pirlo. Loaning him out for half a season would be ideal, as you say. At some point he must be integrated into the team. My point was just that I don't think we can rely on him to be playing much straight away.

They want to win immediately, but some of the players starting for some of the big clubs are nowhere near good enough. Look at Milan's midfield, and our attack for example. The top 2 teams in the division have very average players patrolling key positions, whether it be in midfield for Milan, or in attack for us.

Italian clubs can't afford to buy the biggest talents/players out there, and yet they are reluctant to give young promising stars a chance to shine. The end result: Many average players across numerous clubs in Italy.

Everything u said here is correct, giovinco being a prime example of our we mistreated him. If we get verratti, he should stay with us as a back up to the first team. Pirlo cant play all games next season, he should be used in the big games and CL, give verratti a chance against the smaller/weaker teams, maybe giving him a 45 min cameo here and there

Some good points here. But I think we should go with a combination of short loans and keeping him in the squad. For instance, next season, let him be in the squad in the first part of the season when we play in the coppa. If we crash out, loan him out. He needs to play as much as he can, imo, but he also needs to train with Pirlo and the first team. We should make both scenarios happen.

Just what, sharing a room and training with Pirlo? All footballers have to play, or they stand still/go backwards. He'd need 15-20 games minimum.
