We regurarly bid and buy players we dont even plan on keeping for such sums (we bought that Bologna CM Taider in January for such sums, only to sell him back this summer lol). Adding extra fee to come to a compromise with a very interesting talent we wanted would hardly been a stretch. Those kinda wheeling and dealing bids are common for a top club, we apparently just bought a Serie B youngster called Boayke for 4m for his half few days ago, which went fairly unnoticed by most, also bought Leali for similar sum it seems, who will prolly be just another young goalie who never see time in Juve shirt like all of the others before him. If we didnt bid enough to buy half of Verratti in similar sums (4-6m or so I mean), its either because we dont want him enough (not a priority, which I defenitely get, though signing for the future is allways priority for me), or we put too much trust on the bit of him wanting us to the point we were trying to hold it against Pescara and wait it out. Which has shown to be not a good tactic if it was the case.

 Boakye for 4 million euros :D, If we really wanted Verratti I really can't see why we diden't pay what they wanted. When he was called up to Italy prelimnary squad, Pescara said he is worth 10 million euros. 5 for his half. Im sure we could have closen the deal for 4-4,5 but we diden't. It's Marottas decision, he is the only one to give credit/blame for this. I think it was a stupid decision. Others maby agree with him

We are talking about Verratti here. It's not as if we missed out on Zidane, Maradona, or Cruyff. This kid has the potential to be a very good player, and he may turn out to be special, but I don't think he's someone we should be crying over. It's not as if we missed out on the most talented youngster of his generation.

Best of luck to him in PSG; let's hope (for his sake) he actually manages to make an impact, otherwise there will be others willing to inherit the majestic "Pirlo Mantle" and this over-rated, over-hyped, one season in Serie B wonder will be left eating dirt. Just sayin ;)

Honestly, who cares? We have 4 world class midfielders and plenty of hot talents behind them. I don't really care and was never really invested in this signing anyway.

Also, I bet he'll return sooner or later. Italians always do.

He was allways staying one year in Pescara, both Pescara and Marrotta said so, regardless if we bought him fully and loaned him to them, or co-owned and he remained there.

We still have Bouy, Appelt, Marrone and Pogba with a lot of potential as well. Hopefully we can develop them.

I've lost a bit of faith in Bouy, I'm really hoping for us to push Appelt, Marrone and Pogba.
