Juve has already made it clear they are more than willing to take the risk, its Pescara who are fucking around and making it an auction.
Ofcourse they are, we can kinda have pressured them quite a bit by wooing the player to the point he only wants to sign for us, and offering deals in our own terms (as we should), its not deemed good enough for them, so they are stalling for better or keeping him for now, since its not a must for them to sell him. Pretty sure they will come to a comprimise within a month or so.

Am I the only one happy with this decision/outcome? I mean.. Am I the only one who'd like to see if Verratti can play his game in Serie A as well? If he plays good this season I wouldn't mind spending 10-15m € on him but I'd never spend any more then 5m € now.....

or he could struggle to cope with the more organised/better midfield and defences of Serie A and fade into obscurity a la Cigarini.

nobody is going to pay the kind of money they are expecting, bunch of greedy cunts.
Maybe, maybe not. Its a high risk high reward type of situation for them. Much better than the low risk low reward position they'd be in if they sold him to us for 4 million and then him ending up shining.

I'd rather get one foot in the door and take 50% of the contract instead of leaving it up to Pescara to sort stuff out.
Exactly. If we pay 5 mil € for him now and lets say he flops, we'll probably be able to sell his half for 2-3 mil if we want. Which means we'll make a loss of around 2-3 mil €. But if we dont get half of him now and he explodes we'd have to pay at least 2-3 mil € more for him than we would if we had coownership.

So the loss would be roughly the same, except it would be harder for us to sign him as we'd probably have more competition (that would inflate the price).

Verratti is worth shelling out a cheeky fiver on now, I reckon. but I can see why Pescara don't want to play ball and all the babbys sulking about just need to remember that he is their player. We don't have some oddball god given right to his contract just because he likes Juventus.

Pescara deserve to be relegated. They're a bunch of clowns who think they can own the transfer market.
I might not be up to date, but they're just trying to get more money aren't they? They have every right to.

You're basically thinking we can own the transfer market for saying something like that about a team trying to act in their own best interest.

What a stupidly arrogant thing to say.
No, they agreed a deal with us. Everyone was happy, then they keep moving the goal posts. Why are they talking to Napoli when the player doesn't want to go there?
