If we really have as little money as they say,I doubt we'd be spending 3m to replace a player who plays as few games a season as Birindelli.
Well that's true, however perhaps Capello sees Cassetti as a better option than Zebina. Frankly I don't know. This could be just another worthless rumor or smokescreen.

Yeah IMO it's just another bloody rumour :groan:

Seems unlikely that Capello would prefer a relative unkown like Casetti to a former player of his like Zebina who's improved remarkably this season.

consider that we have to replace pessotto as well
Replace Pessotto??

You'd think that after he's done so well for us this season he at least deserves another year on the bench if not some consideration for a place in the starting XI

buddy i would play pessotto ahead of zebina, birindeli and even blasi but at that age he will have to prove himself every year.

Oddo and janku might were our primary targets but milan is also interested for a player in the same place, so we search for alternatives, cassetti is just one of them, we will consider everything, form, quality, age, wage,
price(£3mil is 4-5 mil euros?), history and future.
I hope we can do better than cassetti, i dont believe we will buy two right backs or two wingers.
Cassetti isnt good as RB but he can be used there if needed
and as a winger he is a cheaper mancini.
