even the players i listed is pushing it. it takes a long time to negotitate decnt prices for players, especially sought after ones like Jovetic and Hummels...unless the player is soemone like Vidal who had his mind made on joining s where the transfer becomes smooth sailing.

i think we could do with Barzagli chiellini CB pair for the next 2 season atleast. but if we can get hummels i won't complain.

people think here that replacing pepe should bepriority after getting a defender, but i think replacing pirlo should be priority. i very much doubt pirlo will maintain his current form come next season so for me getting Hernanes, who is an upgrade over all our midfielders should be priority.

    How's Hernanes played this season? He was a beast last season.

    I read that Sculli, Ledesma, Diakite, Brocchi and Matuzalem has as many assists as him.

    1.) I think Pirlo has another season in him, especially in the main competitions but yes, we certainly need a back-up (one for the future) especially if we make a european competition, the league & coppa.
    2.) Love Barzagli this year but I don't think he will hold this form all next year, but I guess we should see how he ends the season before making a decision. If anything, I'd sell Bonucci and use that to bring hopefully another younger prospect (astori perhaps?) to back up Barzagli & Chiellini.
    3.)We really only need one SS to replace Pepe so it should be (in order of preference) Jojo, Lavezzi, or Giovinco. People that think Jojo would be wasted on the right are ludicrous.
    4.) We already have a top class midfield now, adding Hernanes would be fantastic but expensive. It would be hard for me to decide if we had to decide between adding a top class midfielder or an SS. I think I would push for an SS to give us the final edge up top and give Appelt some playing time.

    He was hitting us hard against Lazio, that's for sure. A bitch to mark in the middle.

    Haven't followed him specifically no. When I do see him he certainly puts his strengths on display. Sorta reminds me a Lavezzi as a CM:D Runs around a lot, annoying to track/mark/follow and has a hell of a shot.

    We need three players for an excellent starting XI and surprisingly two of those are attackers. Jovetic, Higuain and a CB/LB will make our starting XI really strong in every position.
    For the bench we will only need a good midfielder and a RB and we'll have decent quality on the bench too.

    Of course that won't happen but an European top 5 team should be capable of accomplishing such a mercato and we'll need to do it if we want to be Europe's top 5. Krasic's, Melo's and Quag's potential sales should cover for Jovetic, sub mid and sub RB/LB (Caceres) and the team will have to find some 40m eur for Higuain and a quality CB.
    Bah, that won't happen.

    We probably won't go after an attacker, even less two. The most we will do is to buy Borriello and sell Quag :(
    Our midfield is quality and our defense needs one more piece. It's the attack that needs to be drastically improved in order to make the needed jump and be competitive both in CL and Italy, as much as Cron is saying the opposite.
    We definitely won't buy two top notch attackers. We most probably don't even have the resources to do that.

    But fuck me if this team won't be great:
    Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio
    Jovetic-Higuain-Vucinic​

    Hell, I'd even sacrifice buying a top class defender and play Caceres instead, just to have that attack. With Buffon, Licht, Barzagli in top form and Chiellini, the defense is far from disastrous and we can do fine with it.
