FFS the guy just scored an important goal this season..who gives a shit if he stays the next one or not..
I do. I don't want him here (and many others share my view), and rightfully so. He hasn't shown or proven anything to warrant a stay, tonight's goal notwithstanding.

Thank you for getting us the 3 points tonight, but please leave so we can spend the money we would potentially be wasting on you elsewhere :agree:

So youre saying that playing and starting borriello over a still fit and scoring Del Piero doesnt show that?
Everyone were starting over Ale before Borriello got here too.

Dont see how this is some big argument, Conte wanted another striker added to the team in January, one who is a target man prolly, and Marrotta got him a player that is easy to get and which Marrotta likes (same Marrotta who basically confirmed we wont be taking the option on Borriello). Conte has tried out playing this said player several times even it hasnt worked out (physical and hardworking targetman aspects being the draw for that), and eventually he has been benched as he should be since cant deliver.

Was subbed in chasing a goal tonight and he scored, NATURALLY Conte is fucking happy about that, all 17 of his teammates there and the assistant coach ALL hugged the fuck outta him after the goal and after the final whistle. EVERYONE are happy about nearly winning the scudetto as we are. These scenes would be the same if it was Elia who got on and scored. And it wouldnt have said zip about wether or not Elia will stay because of how Conte would be happy for a possible scudetto deciding goal.

What I'm saying is that Ale and Borriello have extremely different characteristics, and Conte selects players based upon the characteristics that he thinks will best impact specific matches. Tactical theory, man.

The two don't have the same role when they're on the pitch.

If it was my choice, Ale would never sit behind Borriello - never. Personally, I believe ADP's quality is so far beyond Borriello's, that it's a damn travesty when that happens - especially because Ale's skill set allows him to hold the ball up as well as Marco, while also offering the Del Piero magic that we're all so familiar with.

I understand that but there were times when he could have used Ale instead of Marco. All I'm saying is unfortunately Ale is leaving us, Matri will be sold for more than we will buy Marco for and Quags will stay. The other two spots will be filled by some other strikers

Well ofcourse, nothing wrong with that, that goal meant alot to Borriello like it is for any striker who goes without scoring a full year. What I found disagreeable and farfetched is you saying this means he will be signed because of Conte being passionately crazy happy about possible scudetto deciding goal.

i never said I wanted him here ALC I'm just saying it looks like hes staying to me
So you dont want us to sign him?
