He doesn't deserve the level of hate he gets here but he has also never been near good enough to be this central tempo controlling figure that the club has tried to pigeon hole him into being through most of his stay here

He is definitely overhated but he's not bad. He's not super good but he's good. I think for our pedigree and history of midfielders, him being our best mid is a condemnation against the club more than anything else. He has had bright moments and has had bad moments but overall he's been an okay player for us.
