Yes he is good usually, just makes that stupid mistakes from time to time which pisses everyone. It's all good if it's one bad bass, but it gets dirty once it's a sliding tackle in our penalty.

Too much hand gestures asking for the ball and still losing it at times but gets a pass today not because of his average distribution but attacking the box and those runs even though he fluffed the shots.

Manuel Locatelli – 7
A commanding display from the Juventus captain who was more adventurous than usual, but just couldn’t find the back of the net. Orchestrated the play for his team and picked up Cambiaso on the ‘pre-assist’ for Thuram’s goal.
Commanding display :hihi:

I just can't stand this guy for some reason...
because we expect him to be a pirlo/pjanic heir and he's clearly isn't. on his day he's solid but he won't assist or score and he's quite a boring player

we defend better with him though, and his passing is reliable enough. i'd happily take a team where he's just a bench player. in this current jj he's a starter though

I think he’s just always going to divide opinion within our fanbase. I thought he was good yesterday.

I’m happy that tactically it appears he’s been asked not to drop between the two CBs recently. The double pivot works better when both CMs sit in the middle to try to break the lines, but it is reliant on the CBs being confident on the ball with competent ball playing full backs.
At times this season he’s dropped in, the full backs have pushed up wide and high, then if we lose the ball we’re shafted on the break.

This was so annoying last night. I understand trying to get involved as much as possible and wanting to make things happen, but he kept raising his arms and asking for the ball in some terrible positions that made no sense. Good game nonetheless, not sure if Motta gave him different instructions or he just remembered he can play a forward pass too.

It was funny to see him throw a tantrum when the ball wasn't passed to him

Me too of late. Maybe expected too much after Euro performance, AKA scoring goals. Didn't watch match but had a good performance it appears. Now needs to constantly play like yesterday. Best I can see is a Bentancur+, defensive mid who can't find find the back of the net in helping us.

And please, no mental blunders!

Short: He is a mediocre at maximum. simple, short passes are all he can offer.
