I haven't watched the games, but I'm surprised by his decay. He played very well when the team was also shit last season. I remember noticing he was overchaged then, with protective and supporting roles, all while needing also to provide creativity.

I believe in this guy. Maybe bench him until he regains his focus and confidence.

Nah, he was always a bit overrated. This is a meme-era Milan reject we're talking about. He hasn't exactly performed amazingly since he joined.

He is at best a rotational player. From next season onwards our midfield should look something like this (I hope): Pogba - Paredes - SMS with Loca as the substitute.

He just doesn't impose himself on games and isn't a leader with the ball. Don't really see him organizing anything either. But I'm comparing him with players like Pirlo and Pjanic in the same roles, so that is a bit unfair to him. I see him more as a B2B water carrier type player, similar to Marchisio, who can grab some goals and make some good passes, but that's about it.

I always tought he was meh for Milan, he really surprised me at Juve. But I'm sure he's a solid rotational player, at least. Maybe playing as a DM is actually his best position.

Agree with @Bjerknes and I think once we have a decent coach he will become his usual self again. He's good at picking up his late runs into the box. He's like a poor man's Lampard.
I think Allegri's coaching career is over once he is kicked out from here. Other clubs will look at the results and look and how the players have developed under him and notice the total regression of every player he has had. Now now before you start yelling (whoever you are), sure, some did well in his first stint but they also regressed toward the end.

He is not a defensive midfielder and obviously is not very happy playing deep. He is among the few our midfielders who can actually shoot and pass but is wasted in front of the defence.
I want to see him under another coach in more attacking position. He was stellar in the beginning of his career at Juve, scored and created great goals, but the ancient vampire on our bench has taken the spark out of him.

He is totally out of shape, he is not as bad as he is currently. We saw a good player in him in the past I believe his current state is all up to preparation for the season
