While everyone was wanking over our future moves over the past 5 months, I always had a feeling we won't be spending much. But even I was surprised how we managed this summer mercato. It's like our wallet is literally empty. Still, I believe covid took a big blow there. Considering how we moved and how we spend (we did manage to sign Locatelli, luckily, but those installments are nuts), it seems all of those three are totally out of our reach. It might change next year if covid vanishes and if we get Ronaldo off our wages, however, it still seems quite unlikely we'll be making 50-80mln moves for one player.

Not so clear.

We'll see which role Allegri sees for Locatelli and Arthur. Locatelli has always played better as a mezzala than as regista in a midfield 3. Another option is his role at Sassuolo in in midfield 2 roaming up and down.

Rabiot-Arthur-Locatelli

Or

Bernardeschi-Locatelli-Bentancur

Or 10 other possibilities.

We have many players that can play mezzala/b2b role and pretty much nobody for the holding mid/regista role. To me this much is clear.

Glad we finally sorted this deal out, would have been silly to miss out on a talented player such as himself whom has also been strongly pushing for months to only join us afterall.

Welcome, i’m sure he will be an much needed added value to our midfield.

Oh I have no doubts that our transfer market is closed for the summer.

I just don’t want Bentancur anywhere near the starting lineup this season. I’m expecting better things from McKennie tbh.
