Maybe, wouldn't be against it ofc, but from the outside he seems almost too fiery and when he talks with refs it isn't a captain's approach imo, he mostly shakes his head in disbelief, laughs and goes away. Also don't see him talking with teammates much. Danilo and Locatelli do imo

Without a video proving otherwise I'd say he was joking, as in "I don't want to praise him, it will build his ego up" or something like that, similar to how Allegri jokes with them in pressers
