It's not like he's going to start every game.

We will obviously use McKennie and Adzic there, just like yesterday. Miretti also.

Doubt that we will sign a mid in January. Probably only a RWB, as we are very short in that area.

This guy and Poop will be the biggest problems of our season. I'm not convinced we have a midfield to challenge for titles. Can't rely on Thuram alone.

One of Poop or Suckatelli have to step up or we going to have the same old problems.
Agreed. It's seems like explosive fast players is the way to go. This is Juve at its best..

Locatelli and Koop are too slow.

If the time score situation calls for more defensive attention from the midfeield and more dictated build up from his role then he might be the guy. But the team now has creative pacey players that warrant a go go go attack. Also, Thurman in is also a catalyst that can offer more from the midfield but hindered by a setup that features suckatelli
100%, he doesn’t compliment the players around him or what Tudor wants. I’m not even anti Locatelli, but it’s very obvious he slows the pace down when Tudor wants the exact opposite. The stats are usually on his side, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s making the team better. I’d even argue Koop has looked better in that role. Ideally one of Adzic/Miretti forces him to the bench.

I wanted him to work so bad, but it so annoying to watch. So callused watching his unsuccessful passes and crosses, when he finally makes a decent connection, it’s like a moment of brilliance.

Miss Pjanic btw.
Just makes you realize how amazing Pirlo was.

He was constantly pinging inch perfect passes all game every game. To anywhere on the pitch no matter how much pressure he was under or how important the game was.

He was as cool as a polar bears ass.

And yes Pjanic although not on Pirlo's level was also very capable.

I came from Pirlo’s thread before I posted here. Which actually led me here after remembering and thinking of what we have to work with now.

i said it a few times in this thread, the pirlo to pjanic to locatelli downgrade perfectly sums up how our squad became from world class to this meh european mid level nothingness

locatelli isn't bad compared to most current serie a dm's, but he's way beyond pjanic or khedira. he's a reliable short range passer and a decent defensive player, but he completely lacks the vision of his predecessors. i saw both pjanic and pirlo live on multiple occasions, both of them were leaders and reference points on the pitch. in comparison, locatelli is timid, not commanding enough. he's not a regista. and the current setup doesn't help his case either. if we played with a 3 man midfield, he'd look better - but we aren't

considering tudor's fixation in 3-4-2-1 and the current go-to lineup, if there was one single position i could upgrade in this team, it would be either locatelli or gatti. tonali, frenkie de jong or a similar player would make this team a scudetto contender. that's why it's a huge bummer that the douglas luiz transfer didn't work as expected. we'd need a reliable box to box who can also pass very badly
