Imo Sassuolo had hoped for a top 4 challenge in 2020/21 after there decent run in 2019/20, that's why there was hesitation from their part. Juve could have forced the issue in winter transfer, once that was out of the equation.

Nah. Because it’s not just about goals and assists with a mid, stats tell a bit better picture for a CM. People look at passes, accuracy, average length, forward/back, long balls, tackles, blocks, interceptions, chances created, etc etc etc.

Anyways, exact opposite of what you said above for me. Every time I’ve watched this guy the past two years he has impressed me a lot. Going to be a massive player for some club.
