MILAN, Italy (AP) -- Roberto Mancini will remain Inter Milan's coach for next season, club owner Massimo Moratti said Tuesday.

Asked by reporters if Mancini would stay, Moratti said: "Yes, absolutely, but let's hope he does well this year," the ANSA news agency reported.

Inter's press office said an official announcement would be issued shortly.

Mancini has guided Inter to third-place finishes and two Italian Cup titles in his first two seasons at Inter.

The club has not won the Italian league title since 1989 and recent reports indicated that Moratti was in contact with Juventus' Fabio Capello to replace Mancini.

Mancini is mancini, if juventus plays and hopefully they will in serie A next season, inter won't win the scudetto and inter doesn't have the team or the depth to win in europe.........Well they do just not the team to win in champions league, they could win uefa cup :D
