I have no idea why we are loaning Tudor to Siena when now we only have three capable centerbacks in Thuram, Cannavaro, and Kovac. This could spell trouble for the future and Tudor could have certainly helped our cause.

Mancini would be a good player however I'm not sure where Capello plans to use him because we already have Camoranesi on the right and I'm not sure if Mancini has the defensive ability to play RB. He probably could take the left-wing role from Nedved, however if we get Cassano he would probably be used as a left forward in a 4-3-3 system.

If we get this deal finished with straight swaps I suppose it would be a pretty fair trade, however I'm not really sure we need to do this.

@Andy, we bought Gladstone so we have 4 CB's.
Gladstone has not even played a minute in Serie A and quite frankly I have never heard of him....thought he would used in some deal, perhaps this deal for the Roma package.

I think Tudor will eventually outlast Capello at Juventus. Back on topic, I think Mancini is an excellent proposition but I dont see his skill set being put to use anywhere besides the now much coveted RB role at Juventus, which is currently occupied by another Roman. Yes, I'm hating the invasion, but I figure I cant blame Cassano for that because it would be nice to have him and Mutu as well. If we get rid of Mutu though I could see the 4-3-3 work but if we hold on to him, Trez will be relegated to the bench, with Zlatan-Cassano up front and Mutu out wide, with Nedved on the bench. Still think that would click for us if we hold on to Mutu and play him on the wing, because its a formation versatile enough to switch to a trident as and when required, and more effortlessly than one would otherwise assume.

Ok so basically in the Italian media it has been confirmed that Mancini and his agent are in Milan discussing with Roma and Juventus officials. They've been there since around 7pm. However it is not excluded that there will also be other players invovled in the discussion. The speculation is that the swap will include:

Cassano+Mancini = Cash+Chiellini+Mutu/Di Michele (for the latter, Juve will give Olivera to Udinese)

Personally this sounds good especially if it's Di Michele and not Mutu.

If they're good I don't care where they come from. Mancini was on fire last Sunday and he would be a great addition to maybe even replace Nedved.

That would be a dream. If i were Mutu, I'd be at Moggi's residence right now promising to service his needs and desires on the hour till the deadline approaches and expires.

You're right about Mancini Zizou. He's got tremendous pace on him, and would fire up the flanks for us. Although I see him at RB and not on the left wing, because that position as of now is probably being contested between Nedved and Mutu. And Moggi may consider letting go of Olivera so Roma get Di Michele.
