Shit.
Does Matt have a reason to lie? If he's a G, why would he say he is the BG? One reason that comes to mind is that he was investigated last night and the G's know this so he is essentially dead. If he hadn't claimed to be the BG, the D would have contacted Sonbist, letting us know that we needed to lynch Matt. By claiming to be the BG, he forces the D to blaze his guns, losing one investigation, while G's will not lose anything extra cause Matt was anyway going to get lynched (the assumption is he was investigated). Other than this, there is no reason for him to lie.

Ok reading through this whole nighttime fiasco I feel that Quetz is indeed the BG. His posts about Snobist and the real BG having time to reveal himself point to that. In either case we know that one of Snobist or Quetz are a G.
For the greater good of mafia gaming I will assume that Snobist is not a C pretending to be a BG and therefore the worst player of all time.
In any case THE D SHOULD NOT CONTACT ANY OF THEM UNLESS HE CONFIRMS THEIR ROLES PLEASE FOR THE LOVE O GOD.

If I was the D I would investigate Quetz tonight.
What makes little sense to me though is Snobist pulling this shit so early in the game as a G. Did he really have to? Was that some masterplan from the real main villain?

1- If Snobist is a G, he really has no reason to claim to be the BG. Even if he's an independent thinker, as a G, he would have been restricted by his mates.
2- He might be a C claiming to be the BG. That'd make me cry.
3- He's the BG and Matt is lying. Why would he? I'd say the only reason is he was investigated last night. Can't think of any other good reason for a good player like Matt to do that.
In hindsight, everything Matt posted before he revealed himself to be the BG suggested that he could in fact be the BG. Maybe he also wanted to do that to work in his favor, but I don't think so. What has Matt to gain from lying? He's a G who knows he was investigated and wants to get the D to contact him, hoping that the D is not trusting Snobist?
Again I think his concerns below imply he could be the real BG and was concerned. But again, the fact that the other one claiming to be the BG is Snobist is playing it's part on me.

It's a real possibility that Quetz was investigated by the D, turned out to be a G and the CC got the info. In that case the Gs might want to use Quetz to confuse the Cs and to possibly get him a day or two more before the D can confirm the real BG.
If that's the case though, the D has an easy job. He investigates Snobist tonight and if he's the BG, they can coordinate together for the rest of the game, starting by lynching Quetz.
Then again Snobist can lie about that too and we lynch Quetz who is the real BG. Then we obiously kill Snobist the next day but we lose the BG.
