I would say to get it. It's been great for me. Everything I want to do, I can and easily. It's fast and doesn't freeze like Windows (well, my browsers freeze from time to time). It's just so expensive.

That's a gross generalization. I've been using Win 7 for more than a year and a half(including Beta and RC versions), and I can't remember a memorable moment of it freezing.

I think in daily use, an OS is as bad as you keep it. It's like a car: you can either keep it smooth, or fuck things up real bad. And you can do this for any OS. But if you can't keep Windows running correctly, then you definitely deserve to start using a Mac, just cos you're not used to the same level of maintenance as a Windows or a Linux computer.

Yep. Apple is now dicking around with Icicle Lion or Rainbow Bear or some other ridiculous OS name right now.
To be honest, the OS upgrades aren't too bad. This is the first one I've to get since I purchased the computer. It's only $29.

As for all the dumb shit Apple comes out with, you just have to be a wise consumer and realize that maybe you really don't need the iPad, Air Mac Book Pro, and Apps. Of course the same could be said about Android users that change phones every 4 months.

Just like Ubuntu! :D

Hey guys. So I am going to buy a new computer very soon. A friend of mine is telling me to buy mac so I thought why don't I ask my favorite Forum-guys their opinion?

Any experience or tip you can share wether I should get mac?
I have a 15 inch MacbookPro and I've had it since the summer of 2006 and it's the most amazing computers I've ever used.

No problems at all, no spyware, no viruses, nothing.
I am sick of Windows, and I don't like Windows 7.

I have pretty bad experience with Windows, and my friend is going on about how good mac is. He says it can not get virus? Anyways, he says its better watching movies on it and everything. I've always thought about getting mac, it looks sexy as hell. I think i am going for mac book pro.
Yea, because Windows PC's suck dick.

And Dru isn't an Android user. He's just too bored having the same phone for more than a few months. Just like his gay sex partners.

I didn't target anyone in particular in the forum. I just used it as an example. Android comes out with new stuff all the time and there are people that buy the latest stuff as soon as it comes out.

I think Android releases new OS updates about once in 7-8 months. I don't really consider that "all the time". Maybe you have that opinion cos there are so many manufacturers releasing phones with Android on it and you're confusing the and Android.

@Asif: Yeah, I meant dru is one who changes phone frequently, not just an Android user.

I was just generalizing to make a point. Android was merely what I used. The point was that there are tech freaks for everything.

I'm not picking on Android, I could have used a number of other things. Perhaps I should have since you ended up taking me literally.

And my original comments wasn't particular toward OS or anything, just gadgetry in general.
