I've seen plenty of Bayern matches and plenty of Iaquinta and Podolski to say that the latter is better. I mean Jesus, talk about overrating your own players for crying out loud.
you obviously have seen none as you fail to see that the only thing he did at bayern was FLOP.

Podolski is not a good supersub, Iaquinta has proven he's useful coming of the bench (+ even on paper he has the better characteristics, more physical and airial threat when late 'sturm und drang' is required). When Podolski started for bayern he's been very inconsistent as he choked practically every time he got a starting spot. Only at the end of the season when the pressure was off as bayern were already champions he started to score a couple of goals.
Moreover Podolski depends 100% on his left foot.

Podolski is a penalty box striker who only delivers when he gets the confidence of the coach, so basically when he plays regularly. Those are useless characteristics for a player at a top team.
Earlier this year he even said that Bayern had to give him 5 games in a row so that he could show his worth. Lol what a joke, you're not at FC Köln anymore.

This guy would NOT be a quality buy at all! He would add nothing to juve but depth. And then again ...

we also said that about Iaquinta before he came to Juventus...
but i think the best thing is to sell Iaquinta but getting Podolski would not do us good as well.
he will also get the supersub role here...

my opinion is to sell Palladino and Iaquinta and get a player who is doing good at Euros but settle for a supersub role...

maybe Pavlyuchenko

Podolski: Juve want me

Germany’s top scorer Lukas Podolski has confirmed he is in negotiations for a move to Juventus.

“I’ve been told Juve are interested in me,” revealed the Bayern Munich star in the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Although I haven’t personally spoken to anybody from the club, let us just say some information has come through to me.

“I have not had contact with any other club, not even with Bayern, during Euro 2008. I am just here to win the trophy.”

German of Polish descent, Podolski got his team off to a flying start in the competition with three goals in four games.

It is no surprise he is looking for a move elsewhere, though, after the 23-year-old spent much of the past season on the bench at Bayern Munich.

“Recently I had been playing a little more and trained very hard to be ready for this tournament. There is more faith in me within the national side.”

The reason Podolski has been shelved is the arrival of Luca Toni, who banged in almost 40 goals for Bayern and yet has failed to net in Euro 2008.

“It’s difficult to understand what is better for a competition like this – if you gather rust on the bench do you find your form at the end of the season or is it the other way round?

“I hope Luca manages to break his duck. I saw the game against France and he missed chances he usually buries with an arm behind his back.”

While Toni moved to the Bundesliga, Podolski is set to make the opposite journey towards Turin, according to today’s newspapers.

“I have become a left winger nowadays rather than a striker. It seems to work, but I am not going to turn into a defender.”

It is this versatility that interests Juventus, especially if the equally mobile but far older Vincenzo Iaquinta is set to leave in the summer.

I think Podolski is a fantastic player. He's kind of underrated too. He's extremely talented but never really got much recognition for it. He's a one player I always thought was superb but the thought of him coming to Juve never really crossed my mind.

I think Juve will sell Trez or Iq if Podolski does come to Juve. We will have an abundance in strikers which has to mean Palladino along with either Trez or IQ will be leaving the team, most probably IQ.

I love Iaquinta and I fully appreciate what he done for this club, I like his determination and passion for the game, but when it comes right down to it, Podolski is a much better player.

If he does come, our attack would in my opinion be the strongest attack in Serie A without a shadow of a doubt. Amauri, Del piero, Trez, Podolski is just simply an incredible striking force.

I wouldn't get my hopes too high on this one though as I doubt Bayern will be willing to let this guy go just before their long awaited C.L season.

What a stupid rumour. He just said that he's been told that Juve want him, not that he is in negotiations with Juve.

Why should we buy him?
DP and Trez will start with Amauri 3rd choice
that means he`ll be 4th choice
Podolski is currently 3rd choice at Bayern so why should he come?

Didn't Gigli say that we're not interested in Podolski ?

In case we are, then we're bringing him for ML position. We can always use him as a striker, like Capello used to do with Mutu, but it's primarly ML.
With Neddy being 36 in 2 months and Giovinco not being a typical ML, we'll need another one to cover that position.
But why bring someone who isn't a ML at first place, i don't know. It looks like Ranieri values the players who can do ok in different positions more than he values the ones who do great in only one position.
We have lots of versatile players. Grygera, Mellberg, Chiellini, Salihamidzic, Amauri, Giovinco, Camoranesi, Iaquinta, Palladino.

Podolski as a left winger is mindblowing imo!..
no thanx gio can do a bitter job there......Podolski IMO is not needed in juve. We have 4 top strikers ATM (trez, amuari, alex and Iaqiunta) all those players IMO R bitter than Podolski. I've watched many of bayern games this season (few of them he played anyways) but everytime he failed to impress......If we're going for a young forward then we bitter get a player like rossi.

I hope he is not lying. I don't see Podolski doing any good with Juve, maybe somewhere else, but I don't think he can do what Trezeguet and Inzaghi did the past years..

Podolski could indeed be a good on the left side but still he is a natural striker...

and then he will be 4th choice or Ranieri will have to do rotation on the strikers but that will not do good...
