Juve set for Luis bid
Thursday 24 June, 2004

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reports from Brazil allege that Juventus have shown an interest in international striker Luis Fabiano.

A story in the Estado de S.Paulo newspaper suggests that the Bianconeri have made contact for the player.

The Sao Paulo ace is one of the hottest properties on the South American transfer market right now.

The temperamental player was strongly linked with moves to Milan or Barcelona but Juventus now seem keen.

However, the Bianconeri face some stiff competition from a host of clubs across Europe.

Fiorentina, Seville, Real Betis and Porto have also made offers – with the Portuguese giants making the highest bid so far.

This is great that Moggi is conducting an aggressive transfer campaign but Luis Fabiano is IMO not a Juve type player. What is it about him that is so good?

I live in SA I see a lot of soccer games (libertadores cup and the brazilian championship) and he has been very good. I think he as good as Adriano. He was in Brazil´s first team during the Wc qualifiers.

Juve should try to Alex or Diego instead of him.

Fabiano Wants To Play In Italy
    6/25/2004 8:20:00 AM

Luis Fabiano's agent Gaetano Paolillo yesterday revealed that the Brazilian
striker has decided that next season he will play in Italy.
"I have spoken to AC Milan , Inter and Fiorentina
recently and we are considering what is best for us," the agent said.
"I don't think that the viola will be able to sign Fabiano unless they do it
with another club so I think that it's down to one of the Milan clubs".
