Lately, I can't think objectively when it comes to Juve. But how much blame should go to Delneri and how much to the fact that we have a shit squad?

Getting kicked out of Europa League is never a good thing though there are a lot of people who like to see the positive side of it, including players, staff, fans and the press; but i really think it's all crap. Europa League brings in money, and more importantly gives hope to the fans and to the players of achieving something great. Let's say Roma beat us on wednesday and kick us out of the Cup (God forbid!) what do we have to hope for? No European competition, no cup and a 6th place in Serie A...
Now, i still think that this team has some potential, and the season can still be partially salvaged, but playing in Europa would have brought a lot of optimisim to the team and to the fans.

No suprise yet again we didn't look like a team capable of scoring, and that too affects Delneri's decisions IMO.. at times it felt like he was happy with draw.
For once our FB's seemed to pulling it together and not doing something overly stupid, but too bad we couldn't do shet upfront for almost 70-80mins of the game.. Still I blame him for going all-in too late.

Delneri looked satisfied with a point after the match throwing smiles and hugging Pozzi's, Pazzini's, Poli's and palombo's! We can just strike a deal to be Sampdoria's feeder club while we're at it. Marotta's and Delneri's relationship with Samp is disgusting.
Why the fuck would any sane manager take off Krasic at that particular time? I had a feeling Milos would've pulled something similar to the Lazio game had he stayed on the pitch for 90 minutes given that Sampdoria players played +120 mins mid week and looked weakened and tired in the last 15 minutes of the game.

Can't really blame a coach who has never won anything in his entire life. The guy comes in with a provincial mentality. We are never going to win anything with him in charge, and we may not even fulfill/reach our objectives. However, it's not his fault that he is here; we should blame those that hired him in the first place.
The team looks disjointed and lacking in creativity. We have terrible FB's, strikers that can't score, and expensive buys that at best should serve as backup for a team like Juventus (Martinez, Pepe, and even Quag). We will be needing a new SS in a year or so. We should also look to add a quality LW. However, the most urgent matters at present are finding quality FB's and a striker that can actually score!
Udinese are coming to town next week, and with the way they tore Inter apart, I fear what they may do to our vulnerable, weak, and pathetic FB's!
P.S. Who is Amauri? Is he even a striker? Most importantly and significantly might I add, when does his contract expire?!

Juventus boss Gigi Del Neri still believes his side are the best in Serie A despite their stuttering form.
The Old Lady drew 0-0 away to Sampdoria on Sunday and currently lie sixth in the table, nine points adrift of League leaders Milan.
“I am still convinced that Juve are the best team in the League,” Del Neri said.
“On the whole we have shown that we're a match for anyone.
“I believe a lot in my group and recovering the injured will allow us to be competitive,” he concluded.

Normally, I get irritated by your posts because I feel your expectations are way too high, but I agree with this in most aspects, but even more important none of our players are reaching their full potential recently. Chiello looks disorientated and almost caused a penalty and our striker problem is laughable, I dont know why Marotta came with signing Toni but it isn't a good move and made things worse.

I'm not sure why people keep mentioning he hasn't won anything, his objective this season isn't to win anything, it's to get in the CL. Anything else would have been a bonus. It's ok he aims high, but this is just a mental game, he knows the situation.

We would've had to have no key injuries all year, our team at 90% average every game and for others to have badly stumbled for us to think about winning the scudetto, that's no different looking at the league at the start of the season or now.
As for the EL, because we went out it doesn't mean that we were going to win lots of games, doesn't work like that. Delneri said we will be more rested for it, clearly we will be, but that doesn't mean we are going to win. And considering there have been no CL games since 8/12/10 and EL since 16/12/10 how the hell does that impact upon us and our opponents for the last 6 rounds, before which we were sitting nicely? Not at all, nonsense. We'll see if there is any impact come Feb-March, not Dec-Jan.

I think you're overlooking the importance of confidence, morale, and consistency. Looking at how we played in the Europa matches and our form now, the performances and results look very similar, even while using a somewhat stronger side in Serie A. The areas of football I listed in the previous sentence all come into play when looking long-term; without a decent amount of any, any little speed bump can turn into a brick wall, and I'm afraid that's partly the reason for our poor form now. Injuries aren't the only problem.
To me, the Europa performances were a sign of things to come, and the eventual failure to qualify stunted our collectiveness as a team. Some say that failure drives one to perform better in the future. But after a season like we had last year, I can't really say we have such a mentality as a collective unit yet, and therefore each failure is the opposite of a shot of adrenaline -- it's more like a dose of rat poison. That's why it is my belief that any success in a competition like Europa League would carry over to our Serie A form and our future ability to compete in general.
