Sampdoria Striker Antonio Cassano Believes Juventus Are Favourites For The Scudetto

Sampdoria hitman Antonio Cassano has proclaimed rivals Juventus to be one of the favourites for this season's Scudetto.

The Italian international says the Bianconeri can win the title because they have former Blucerchati boss Luigi Del Neri guiding the side.

"I have said before that Juventus can be considered one of the favourites for the Scudetto because they have a great coach in Del Neri," Cassano told Corriere Dello Sport. "The side now have to play like he wants them.

"When he was at Sampdoria, it took time for us to adapt. Del Neri can do some great things for the club because he is an extraordinary coach, who prepares very well. "

The forward, though, says it was an error for the Turin giants to sell Diego to Wolfsburg.

"Selling Diego was a big error," he added.

The two sides met on the weekend and had a 3-3 draw.
