I don't really like this guy.

But that's nothing new.
I don't like him either...

Shouldn't have played Ale for the whole 90 mins.

:agree:

Agree that we are not scudetto material, and I suppose we should all have lower expectations this year as we are rebuilding.

But should Del Neri be writting us off after two games in a season where we really need some confidence? Not really convinced about this.

Or is he trying to calm the players down and take a bit of pressure off them? Or is he trying to spark a reaction from them to prove him wrong?

Whatever he is going for here its an interesting comment to make.

It's not, he is scared... he said the same stuff last year whike with Samp. :(

Yes, lets set our bar lower. That's what we need.

got the ball and spreaded it around , if u didn't notice he was the one who passed the ball to krasic before his second assist
dp did that too..the only thing that i liked at quag today is that he is tall..i'm so sorry that we don't have giovinco there with del piero in attack...i wanted to see de cegle or pepe with those lame crosses to 2 midgets. We gotta change that always cross attitude.

Who gives a shit about publically stated objectives? This time last year the word Scudetto was used with Juventus everywhere (kind of like it was with Milan after their first match this season). We know how that ended last year.

Also, we drew with Samp and lost to Bari. I remember a team that did something similar last year, drew with Bari and lost to Samp. It was Inter.

Does anybody remember how Roma and Milan were doing this time last season? The important things is the standings on the last day.

I think its good that we're not being touted as Scudetto contenders. That is a kind of pressure our team isn't capable of handling, yet. We're coming into this as underdogs, and we need to remain like that to help us focus.

I think that despite yesterday's result there is still room for hope. The performance and the hunger to win was there. Pity we are shaky at the back. I am highly skeptical of young defences. Look at Inter's defence last year. I think experience counts much more than speed in that part of the pitch.

God someone shop that with a giant turd on the bottom :p

I don't think he said anything wrong, he is taking pressure off the team, and really stating the obvious.
