- Manuel Pellegrini
- José Pekerman
- Maxi Allegri
- Luis Arigones

Pellegrini was my first choice
pekerman, has done less then del neri

allegri would definatly pick milan again over us, dont be silly

arigones cant adapt to modern tactics and got fired because of it
he's also 72 and doesnt got determination and hearth that a true juventus coach needs.
besides, we saw what happened with lippi at la nazionale

manuel pellegrini is the worst choise. at real madrid he got a ton of new players, and could never let them play as a team, and many underperformed.
we did the underperforming last year, and the ton of new players this year.
SO, this man proved allready that he isnt up for the job

deschamps is an average coach, who refused to come

What? Pellegrini is a bad coach?? He set a point record for Real Madrid in a single season with a almost a new team! How is that a bad choice? I'd love to have the guy here instead of Del Neri.

Another option could have been Guus Hiddink. He's a great motivator, a team builder and a very capable tactician. Too bad we didn't get him when we had the chance.

a new team of 250 million euro, containing kaka, c.ronaldo, benzema, higuain, xabi alonso, sergio ramos, casillias...
playing in a league where competition is severely weakened to what it once was because of balancing the bank, and to add to that, spanish league is the worst in defending from all 4 top leagues and france.

when they came against lyon, we saw what they really where, nothing

i'd want to see that again when mourinho has had half a year with them

oh and juve contacted hiddink, he refused, duh

I think he refused to come because he didn't want to work with Secco (smart man in some ways). Something he said he regretted and would come back to Juventus with open arms. Wish I had the links to prove that but I'm sure thats how it went

but is deschamps better then del neri ?

his last season with samp was very good, and since he is gone, they immediatly crashed out of CL qualifiers

one thing i do wonder is how the relation between del neri and marotta evolves now that marotta sold diego, del neri beeing against it

I dunno couldn't answer that.

I'd say Deschamps had more success in france than Del Neri had in Doria. Del Neri is more of a physical and hard nosed coach which a Juve team at the moment problably needs right now. He also has more Serie A experience so Del Neri was a very safe choice by Beppe. Maybe in the future Deschamps will be a Juventino again as coach of course with a better team than Del Neri has inherited. We shall see.

Marotta didn't sell Diego stealthily , they had an agreement before.
That was done because there was a strong reason for that, definitely not because of Marotta's caprice.

yeah, but del neri expected to have dzeko, when he didnt got him, i just suppose he'd wanted to keep hold on diego
and marotta sold him.

to be honest, if quag can be consistand and score more then diego, marotta did a good deal, considering the stellar diffrence in wages

I'm sure Quags will pot in more than a half a dozen goals. Its more for Quags can top the class of Trez of last season.

considering the declining way trez's form was going last season, and 4.5 million wage, and his age, it was right to sell

quag has less talent, but isnt a poacher or prima punta, he'll score less, and has less talent for his role then trez had for his.

but i hope he is usefull in the path to the champions league.
if he plays wel, we might just take him as third striker, and sell iaquinta to buy a CL quality one

Ligue 1 winner (marseille)
French league cup winner (twice, marseille, monaco)
CL Runner up (monaco)
Serie B winner (juve)

And he is just 41 years old.

Against Del Neri's.. oh yeah non existant titles at 60.

So yeah, i believe he's a better coach than DN.

With all due respect to DN.

Well it was not a sale if I got it right, we basically transferred him to Hercules and we are still paying him 3 mil Euros this year.

I agree I'm a big Deschamps fan but I think his coaching talents would be wasted with this squad. Rather see him come when hopefully Juve is better.

I love trez but this team had to desperately get rid of the "old guard". Sorry Trez I love u

hmm, i missed that he trained monaco

i wondered what would have happeled if secco and black left, and we had marotta back then, with him as coach in the first season of seria a again.

Del Piero is my Diego, says Del Neri
Friday 3 September, 2010

Juventus Coach Gigi Del Neri has taken the loss of Diego on the chin, saying that the Brazilian won’t be missed because there is Alessandro Del Piero in Turin.

Diego was sold to Wolfsburg last week despite being told by Del Neri that he figured in his plans this season.

The Brazilian playmaker then launched a scathing attack on Juventus’ general manager Beppe Marotta yesterday for not being clear with him.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Del Neri said: “The club did what it could, taking into account both technical and financial aspects.

“To me, it went well because I have a young squad with alternatives in every position.

“Milan have signed champions that no one could have imagined, but only time will tell who has done well and who hasn’t.

“I remember that a year ago, everyone praised Juventus’ transfer campaign. After the first few games they seemed in a position to compete with Inter, then we know how it ended.

“The debate about Diego is wide. It also regards the financial aspect and involves the club, but we are all aligned.

“It’s up to the club to respond [to Diego’s criticism]. I will only say that Diego is a great player and I hope he finds success in Germany, but we have more presence in the penalty area with Quagliarella. And then again, our Diego is called Del Piero.”

When it was pointed out that Diego is much younger than Del Piero, Del Neri said: “What does that matter? At 35, Doni played 30 games with me at Atalanta and scored 12 goals.

“I can’t assure a starting place to anyone. Del Piero is a Juventus player and it’s important that he is happy. Then we’ll see what happens.

“We must get a place in the Champions League in whatever way possible, because the history of Juventus requires it.”

our Diego is called Del Piero:D
