I'd gladly take the result of Ranieri's first or second season with us without thinking about it twice.
I wonder if Ranieri was never sacked and he was given last seasons transfer budget how our team would be looking right about now?

DN is just another Ranieri. our next two years will be exactly same as those under Ranieri. nothing more, nothing less

DN is a stubborn and predictable coach, he even said it himself. "once we have a system, i will not change it". very cunning and clever this guy one eh.

opposition manager with any clue will read this team as an open book and we will suffer once again.
Ranieri is better than Del Neri

We'd likely be the same. Finishing 2nd or 3rd every year with the same dull performance that we had with him.

I don't regret that we fired Ranieri even after our horrible season last year...

Is he really, though?

Del Neri only has getting Samp to the Champions League to his name. Zaccheroni won Serie A once and was fired several times, just like Del Neri.

So honestly, what's the difference?
At least his success with the club is recent. By the way he is not playing Marchisio as left winger :D and indeed he doesn't show flexibility with his straight 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1, but is prepared to involve all the players in it , including our main weapon - Diego.

What I really don't understand is Giovinco issue.

Zaccheroni holds the reputation of a complete loser while Del Neri doesn't ... yet.

I agree with you about the performances and what not, I just meant what would our squad look like as Ranieri had clear ideas of how he wanted to play and would we of went for better players as we were linked with the likes of David Silva to replace Nedved.

:agree:  .

What ppl here don't want to understand is Ranieri is a good coach ONLY in finshing 2nd or qualifying to CL or saving teams from relegation.

When we signed Ranieri, the first task was given to him is to finish in a CL position,he could do that successfully but the second yr when his task was to improve and win the scudetto he couldn't do it.The same thing he did with chelsea, qualified to CL but couldn't win any single trophy.

Now i see many ppl are talking about how good Ranieri was last season with Roma.Well,he did the 1st part of his favourite scenario finishing the season in CL position, but will he win the Scudetto this coming season?:shifty:

The ans is simple, the 2nd part of the scenario will take place as he will again finsh 3rd or 4th.This kind of scenario suit teams like Roma or Fiorentina not Juve, and the 07-08 was an intermediate stage as a team coming from sereie B it is almost impossible for them to win Serie A in their 1st season.

we would have adriano playing for our side ;)

so i guess its not like ranieri is a coward in trying to get great players ... of corse in rome he has to take those gambles with alleged finished stars, but in juve he could've gone for real stars not ones who he needs to resurrect

build the foundation for the team that mourinho made successful ...

what exactly did mourinho do in his first season what mancini did not achieve ?
Atleast finished the season without any home defeat.

I don't know how the hell u compare that ass hole Mancini to Jose Mou?

BTW,who said Ranieri built the foundation for Mourinho?

I think u believe much of what u read in Goal.com.

Drogba,Robben,Essien,Carvalho who brought them?

And a player like Lampard was there in Chelsea years b4 Jose's arrival, but who made Lampard a world class midfielder?

The same thing also for Terry, who shined in Mou's era.

Did thanking, liking or loving him means to u that Ranieri made him a world class?

Every player thank a coach who trained him one day.

When Almiron didn't celebrate the goal he scored against us last season, was he showing respect to the team he played for or was he saying he had a great time with Juve?

When Juventus.com bids farwell to players like Molinaro or Mellberg, does it mean that they had successfull career with Juve?

Showing respect or thanking is something different.

It's actually fairly widely accepted that Ranieri made Lampard world class, alot of people share this opinion, and not just because of Goal.com.

Still having Ranieri here would have been positive I think. Having a coach who actually has more than 2 seasons to build their own team would be good.
