On this occasion unlike others del Neri isn't to blame. Get off the bang wagon for a change.
It's Delneri's RESPONSIBILITY to ensure the team are mentally strong and can react to difficult situations. It's also his RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that the players are closing the game out.
Yet again we went 2-0 up and they thought the game was won, Delneri included. After we went 2-0 up he brought NO substitutes on to see the game out. He did not put fresh legs on to counter the moves made by Chievo and we had tired players on the pitch who were a yard slower reacting to the play than the Chievo players. Just look at the difference that their substitutes made, and they were 2-0 down!! Even then, after conceding the 1st goal, he still made NO substitutions. Infact, he only made 1 sub, and that was to bring Toni on for Pepe.
I'd love you to write down your opinion of why exactly Delneri wasn't to blame???
