Inexplicable sub of Marchisio while Melo and Matri were both already injured.
I don't know if he were able to stop the substitution. I want to know first how far to the sub a coach can stop it because I think the players got injured when Marchisio was already leaving the pitch.

Mr Delneri just saved his job.. Let's get some winning streak from now going then we can digest the "Juve on right track" comments..

I would personally subbed Pepe with Matri and shifted Krasic into middle , free AMF behind Iaq .. Marchi's injury didn't look as bad as Matri's.

“A kid who marks Eto’o that way has to be applauded. Barzagli has also impressed me, as with Giorgio Chiellini in the left-back role. Now we’ve got to improve on the flanks.”

It feels good to hear the coach admitting where the weak point lies.

At last, how life is great without the foolbacks isn't it?

Matri and Melo were injured about 5 minutes before Marchisio's sub. Matri was even telling the trainers he can't play any more and looked at the bench and gestured that he can't complete, and then 2 min later Marchisio is subbed. There is no excuse for such lack of communication. Del Neri did a great job by organizing the defense, but failed in handling substitutions.

Del Neri: 'It can change Juve's season'

Gigi Del Neri feels “this victory over Inter could be decisive” for the entire Juventus campaign.
“We had also played well against Palermo, then won against Cagliari, so we have been building to this performance,” said the Coach of their 1-0 Derby d’Italia win.

“We proved that we are strong both psychologically and morally. A victory like this could be decisive in opening a new chapter for our season.

“The introduction of Alessandro Matri, Luca Toni and Andrea Barzagli in January gave new strength to the squad.

“The team is now more focused and precise. We may suffer, but we get what we deserve. Football only works if you score goals, so it becomes rather difficult when all your strikers are injured.

“Along with Matri, we have rediscovered the courage and hunger to push for the victory at all times. We have beaten a very strong side and I’m proud to have given Juventus fans this joy.”

Del Neri reserved special praise for his defenders, as Frederik Sorensen provided the crucial assist and silenced Samuel Eto’o.

“A kid who marks Eto’o that way has to be applauded. Barzagli has also impressed me, as with Giorgio Chiellini in the left-back role. Now we’ve got to improve on the flanks.”

There were problems in the final stages, as Leonardo Bonucci and teammates from the bench were spotted shouting at substitute Vincenzo Iaquinta to put more effort in.

“He was coming back from two months on the treatment table, so it was only to be expected he wouldn’t be too sharp.”

It's not cruel, the guy is lazy and deserved some of the heat. If I am playing with a teammate that isn't putting an afford, then I will let him know about it. Iaquinta kept losing position, then instead of tracking back to fix his mistake, he would maon and raise his hands in the air. I understand the guy just got back from injury, and it takes time for him to regain his non existent touch or what ever you call it, but he could have done better

Thats a bit cruel IMO. No need to shout at him.
No it's not. He was letting his teammates down. They were running themselves into the ground to maintain the lead, whereas IQ was just bitching and moaning the entire time, with little to no effort exerted in the process.

With Matri (injured) and Iaquitna (totally unfit) it felt like we were playing with 8 players (half of Sissoko and half of Pepe)

He made two subs after Matri was injured - not sure why he didn't sub Matri.

It was just encouragement from bonucci, im sure iaq wouldnt have taken it to heart, its nice to shout or do that stuff to get the best out of fellow colleagues passion was obviously high. I'd think they'll laugh about it later.

Even if it wasn't just for encouragement it would have been good stuff from the young defender! I likethat attitude.. But you're right, Bonucci did say after the game, that he only did it to fire his teammates up :)
