His excuses are the exact same ones we heard last season. You can only use the injury excuse to a certain point, and I think we have crossed that line. The only fit players whose absence would make a substantial difference are Krasic, Melo, Aquilani, Chiellini and Buffon, yet he speaks about the absences of Martinez, Amauri, IQ, Del Piero, Grygera, etc as if they are game changers.

We simply do not have enough quality. Obviously the coach will never publicly admit this, but it is getting tiring hearing the same bullshit excuses every year.

Obviously he wasn't here last year, so you are talking about a mixture of what other coaches have also said.

It's the same every year. After the Christmas Pannetone, we are out of the running for every competition, and left pondering what if?

This guy was never a winner, and never will be. In fact, Ferrara was statistically a better coach. However, neither of them are qualified to lead a side like Juventus. We were playing decent football until Christmas last year as well, but then everything fell apart.

We have suffered humiliating 4-1 defeats (both at home and away to inferior opposition; frankly embarrassing), and broken records for all the wrong reasons.

Del Neri is not the root cause of the problem, but he is definitely part of it. He was put somewhere where he was never meant to be, and along with the one eyed guru have transformed Juventus into a new sort of "provnicial club." Inflexible tactics, inability to procure quality players, and the failure to recognize what being at Juventus entails have all played a role in Del Neri's failure thus far.

I can't even give credit to Marotta for getting Quagliarella any longer. He was his fourth, desperate choice, behind Di Natale, Boriello, and Rossi.

It was blind luck that it worked out so well (for that first half of the season).

Luck is the wrong word, but it certainly was fortunate that after a last minute fire sale, the fairly costly 3rd choice replacement striker (on a very shallow list) ended up in the form of his life. I hope he gets his ass healthy, and returns as a solid rotation player.
