Gotta say, I had low expectations when they put this guy in charge. However, he's done a fairly admirable job in creating a cohesive unit, even with a less than stellar transfer season and some ridiculous injury stretches. Tentatively impressed.
Ranieri can and did do almost the same with secco doing his transfers. Wait till we go through a bad run before you judge him. If he can climb out of it then he is trustworthy for the long term. If he can't then he is just another ranieri.
We play better football under Del Neri than we did with Ranieri and we have a belief that once we concede we can still win the game. Also we never look to close up shop we want to continue to score more goals than we did under Ranieri.

The thing is, we started the season with a bad run where we've barely had a decent defense in our hands. He worked that out.
After that we suffered from a bad spell in front of goal, he fixed that too. Despite all the injuries we had 2-3 weeks ago he still managed to keep an unbeaten run and even come back with surprising wins. I'd say the guy deserves all the praise he's getting now but yeah to some extent, we should wait and see if he's indeed what we all pray for him to be.

how fast your memory fades .... the description you gave was only valid for the last few month under ranieri ... before (so the even longer period) we were scoring quite a few last minute goals which tells me, that we did not surrender and still believe in that win until the very last minute
DN has advantages over Ranieri: supports from the board + Marotta ... but somehow i feel like our current playing style is way better than under Ranieri ...
If we rate them up until this point, they have done a good job. Krasic, Quag and Aquilani have delivered and we are a better team with them on the pitch. Bonucci is starting to show a partnership with Chiellini as well.
I am obviously leaving out Pepe, Motta, Martinez and Traore, but if the above players remain consistent and continue to win us points, I don't think any1 will be bashing DN and Marotta over the fact the majority of their transfers did not pan out, especially since 3 of the 4 are loans.
