Bad injury for him, facing a while out.

Minimum two months out.

Edit - They said his season is finished.
just read that :sergio:

Lucio, l’esito degli esami

Lucio, costretto a fermarsi durante l’allenamento di ieri per una distorsione alla caviglia destra, questa mattina è stato sottoposto ad accertamenti. La risonanza magnetica nucleare e la radiografia hanno evidenziato la lesione completa del legamento peroneo-astragalico anteriore.

Complete lesion of anterior legament , it is not specified how much time he will need , but if i am not mistaken this needs around 2-3 months

If this is a complete lesion to the anterior talofibular ligament, then it's a serious injury. From what I've found, 2.5-3 months out of any training. If there are complications, out for 6 months or even more.

Time for youth to step in, and step up

We lost our least important CB (behind Chiello, Barza, BonBon, and Caceres in my book), so things aren't as dire as they seem. Licht can still operate in a back 3, and Marrone can deputize there as well ;)

Great, now we can give the chance to Masi and Marrone to grow which is 100000 better than playing some old washed overused poor excuse for a defender like Lucio.

I won't say I'm glad he's injured, but I am kind of relieved. He looked horrible in preseason. Shaky and slow as hell. Marrone is so much more trustable as a backup. Caceres will be back soon and we have Licht. Can't say much about Masi. I think we're OK.

If the same has been said about Giovinco, hell would have broken loose.
