i think he's already spotted, just no one has a big need to fill the RB role. all the big clubs are trying to fill LB or are fine with their full backs. it does look like zebina will leave for gala......and if we can get silvestri, that would be excellent.

 we should hurry up and get him before the the other clubs spot him ........
don't you think that if WE say he's great, that there isn't already somebody who hasn't spotted him already?! believe me, de silvestri is followed by more than one team. I think we could do it, because i see him only changing inside serie-a (don't think the real bigs of europe have any need for a LB/RB who's time will come in a few years only), and inside serie-a, i think we are one of the only ones who can afford him, and who really need someone in that position. Let's just make it quick, let's make them an offer they cannot refuse, like almiron plus cash. Lazio is financially very weak, they cannot turn down certain offers, and if we get to give them a decent player instead, they will surely think about it.

I really don't see why wingbacks would need so much experience, considering Clichy, Daniel Alves, Sagna, Lahm, Jansen and Ramos even Chiellini shined having only few years in the top level. In central defense it's different as almost everyone on top of their game is nearly or over 30. So I would say as far as wingbacks go there are charesteristics like speed, stamina, crossing and technique which overshadow the need for experience.

Like i was saing for the past year, we should defintly get him....Give them 7m€ = (sell Almiron to Greece), Marchisio and some primavera "row diamond" player on loan....De Silvestri is rated as 10m€ to 12m€

I'll be happy if it lookd like this in 08/09 season...

Buffon

De Silvestri - Mellberg - Chiellini - Grosso / De Ceglie

that would be epic! not only good for this season but with chiellini, de ceglie, de sivestri probably the azzurri - defensive row of the next decade or so :)
Won't be that easy though. we'd have to sacrifice a lot of money/players to get him, lazio won't let him slip away that easily. I highly doubt this deal will go through because we haven't been linked that much with de silvestri. Grosso won't come either imo... his transfer was just hypothetically, and i believe he'll stay in france

Lets avoid counterproductive moves like sacrifing a promising talent like Marchisio to get another one. Its doable to get De Silvestri without succumbing to that.
