There's still hope even if he renewed his contract,we got Boumsong(I know his wages could be a problem) and Mirante,Lazio seem to be interested in both. Plus when the right offer arrives they will let him go anyway.

Silvestri's Not Going To Juve - Lotito

Lazio president Claudio Lotito confirmed that defender Lorenzo De Silvestri will not be joining Juventus, contrary to the speculation which had been mounting in the past few days.

De Silvestri has been linked to the Bianconeri in recent transfer rumours, but Lotito made it clear that he will not be selling his defender unless it’s an ‘indecent proposal’, which he doubts that Juventus can offer.

"There are players I put up for sale and others whom I don't," declared the Lazio president to 'Datasport'.

"De Silvestri is one of those who I don't put on the transfer market, but in life there is nothing certain or written down and if an indecent proposal arrives, then I would be thinking about it.

"Each one of us has his limits to define decent or indecent," he continued. "Let me give you an example: if a player is worth 100 and they offer me 2,000, I can think about selling him to make a stronger team.

"However, I don't think that Juventus want to make such an investment," concluded Lotito.

It is weird, would love to if we were after him, but we arent.

And for the record, if you hadnt seen Azzurrini, you might not know of this kid. But he is easily the next best italian fullback in true Zambrotta mold (been a while since a fullback been as talented as this one). After Rossi and Giovinco, he has been the most dominating player there, physically strong, endless running and very nice qualities. Can play LB and RB as well as one another, and can contribute as CB too. Absolute steal if we got him.

Lazio can't really keep him if we are truly determined to sign him. The problem is that we must move before the other clubs jump in.

I agree they wont be able to keep him if we really want him, Lotito is basically saying that in the article. That he wont sell him for regular offer, but that he wont be able to keep him if Juve come in with a tempting offer.

Problem is, do we really want him? Easily have him instead of both Zebina and Grygera combined.

Yeah, While I am content with the Job Zebina and Grygera are doing, I'd like to see one of them make way for the the young kid. My choice would be Zebina. Grygera has impressed me in the Euro, and I hope he will build on his performances there for his second season here. I know his first season was nothing to write home about, but I would like to believe that adapting to a different culture and league, plus being injured often didn't allow him to settle in and perform well. now though he should be able to show if he truly is worthy of a first team spot.

So My vote goes for Zebina to go. TBH I've never been a fan him, and his low level concentration, and his temper have always pissed me off. The man can be quite passionate at times, but he makes way too many mistakes. Plus he is injured way too often. And he is not getting young either.

As good as De Silvestri is at rightback, I dont think we need that side of a fullback, left side. Although I dont want to loose out on De Silvestri..

De Silvestri can be LB as well too xXx. He is not just an unproven talent to have a big gamble on, he is truly a special talent when it comes to fullback. Youngest player in the azzurrini and is quite impressive every singe time.

He should replace one of Grygera and Zebina, hopefully Zebina as Lion said despite Zebina being better for us so far. But if needed, and it is, De Silvestri can fill in for LB as easily.

I know what you mean, I dont think our board will do it though especially after what happened with the Criscito deal, we payed 7.5m euro for half of him, and now look where we are with that. Even though that deal shouldn't affect any negotiation for De Silvestri our board wont do anything if not sure. To be honest I haven't seen Lorenzo play as a leftback. Can he use both feet?

I was surprised by Grygera at the EC. He sent in more dangerous crosses in 3 games than all season with Juve lol.

Zebina is good when he is not injured or busy picking up cards for foolish things.

Almiron + cash for Di Silvestri?

Also Talent like these need to be snapped up before their price goes up by another 10 million in the next 2 years. Really though, we have a chance to exploit Lazio's inability to keep their players, and we should pounce on this opportunity. Also with us having so many fringe players, we could give away some and bring his price down even more.

There is no reason we shouldn't go for him. Our defense isn't the youngest either.

Well, that wouldn't be a bad deal but I think Almiron is being used as bait for Arda Turan, as Galatasaray are also chasing Almiron so that would work both ways. And yeah I saw that too, Zdenek did really well with crosses at the EURO's, he destroyed Frey's knee unintentionally too.

Maybe, your right over the fact that Lazio haven't been able to keep their key players, I doubt this deal after the return of De Ceglie. Even if we part-exchange some players for him I doubt they'll make the right choices, mean remember the Giovinco to Palermo fiasco.

We have surplus players enough to give them a tempting deal, and it wouldnt be near a Giovinco fiasco. We wont use Almiron for Arda Turan, we wont get him, nor do I think we should (though good player), plus Gala will only want big cash for him.

Yeah I know what you mean with the De Ceglie part, but they really should know what an impressive talent De Silvestri is, if there is good time to get him, its now. Did you guys see him in toulon? De Ceglie is good offensively, but Silvestri is stellar both up and down. He his 2 years younger then even De Ceglie who is supposed to be our youngster. You might deem him too green, but if you are quality enough player, it doesnt matter.

Let Behrami go to the likes of Palermo, he is a decent and useful player who works hard, but he has very limited skill (hehe there is a leaked phone log of Lazio president and trainer, and the things he says of Behramis skill...). I much rather prefer De Silvestri who is quite a complete package.
