Well don't forget that he is also adjusting to Serie A as well.

I mean the guy has scored what 3 goals despite that he is not as good as he used to be/still adapting to the league.

i do agree about the salary and him accepting a squad role, but by the looks of it this season, I think he pretty much already has.

You seem to be out of touch with reality, Lazio is a cash strapped club who has the as small salary budget as the relegation teams. They cant hold on to shit, an average player like Oddo was their big star and he ran off after a single whiff of Milan wanting him.

De Rossi is IMPOSSIBLE to get, Se Silvestri or any other Lazio player are by far one of the more easier players to get, not a single one of them would say no to a top team.
:agree:

It's all about money. Why didn't Boumsong accept a move from Juve ? His huge salary, of course. Why do players leave their mid-table teams where they are stars and go to top teams where they do nothing but warm the bench ? Much bigger salaries, of course.

Lazio's salary list (according to Gazzetta)
Baronio 750 000 EUR per year (their highest paid player)
Rocchi and 6 more players get 500 000 per year
Pandev 450 000 Eur
De Silvestri 100 000 EUR

Compare it with the salaries of our players where 18 players get over 1m Eur, and where players like Birindelli or Olivera have higher wages than Lazio's highest paid player.

There is a huge gap between the wages players get in Juve, Milan and Inter and the wages they get in the other teams.

For example, Fiorentina's highest paid players Mutu and Frey get 1.5m EUR per year, Palermo's highest paid players Barzagli and Amauri get 1m EUR per year, Udinese's highest paid player Di Natale gets 650 000 per year, Sampdoria's Cassano gets 1.2m EUR per year while Favalli has a salary of 2m EUR , Boumsong gets 2.5m EUR, Maxwell gets 2m EUR

It would be okay to give De Silvestri a contract up to 800k-1m € and he should choose Juventus since he'd have good chances to become a starter in the next two years. (+rep, Alen)

Channel 4 suggesting Boumsong to Lazio brought up during discussions about an impending De Silvestri/Mirante swap..

We certainly need a good right back for the long term and if we can shed Boumsong at the same time, could be Secco's best deal so far.

Boumsong to Lazio, as already said, is close to impossible.
Boumsong's salary is 2.5m EUR per year while Lazio have a salary cap and no-one there earns more than 700 000 a year.

In order Lazio to get Boumsong he'll either have to accept a drastic pay-cut (from 2.5M to 700 000), which i don't think he's willing to, or it will have to be a co-ownership deal and Juve will have to pay at least 70% of his wages.

During the summer Boumsong rejected Valencia and Lyon and it was because they were most probably offering him much lower wages than what he's getting with us.
Unless some fools decide to give him high wages i doubt Boumsong will leave us :melayyanandmessi:

Yes

Check this site :
http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Primo_Piano/2007/09_Settembre/11/popup_guadagni.shtml

It's from September 2007 and apart from few players who signed new contracts (Del Piero, Rosina etc) the info about the others is correct.
You can see their wages and the year when their contract expires.

Btw, Boumsong's contract expires in 2010 :D
Daamn, Olivera earns more than Nocerino, Palladino and Chiellini etc :wallbang: and Boumsong earns more than Necoreino, Chiellini and Palladino together :wallbang: :wallbang:
