Didnt know went immediately, but it doesnt change much. Diego Lopez (the captain), Canini (sought after decent defender), Astori (their best defender) AND then Ariaudo, thats the hierarchy for Cagliari's defence. Ariaudo has to break his way into it (show he is better), Astori was loaned there 2 years ago, and he too barely played zip for a while.

There is no guranteed playing time, in ANY of the Serie A teams (their priority is results like anyone else, not grooming players for our benifite, Ariaudo plays when he shows he is better at it then them), especially when Ariaudo starts out from zero, because his entire senior footie experience is 3-4 appearances for us, so extra harder for him and has to show a bit more to merit it. So when you see that he hasnt played in his first month, pray tell, do you automatically think its because they have something against him? Or because its not so easy breaking into a good teams settled defence, especially as a rookie youngster?
That's the thing, why haven't we just kept him? He would get exactly the same experience (=0), but he would be available had two of our CBs got injured. He played some good games for us, we probably could use him (especially considering our injury list for the last two seasons).

Because he would keep playing zero seconds for us, guranteed, he did so 6 months straight, 6 games is nothing compared to that. For Cagliari, he will have to keep working at it and prove himself more, when opportunities comes up, like suspensions or injuries, he will get his chance. For us, he was more or less viewed as a primavera player, so he would be last to play regardless of what happend.

Lorenzo Ariaudo (Cagliari): The Juventus-owned youngster showed his potential with a secure display to nullify the likes of Jonathan Biabiany and Hernan Crespo as the Isolani continued to their good form with a 2-0 victory over Parma.

Oh, so Ariaudo is doing good over there? Awesome, hopefully we can send Giovinco over there too so he can make the Team of the Week, every week.

It's going to be difficult, I believe Cagliari have an option to sign the player permanently at the end of the season.
I don't think they have such an option, but if they do it would be to own half of his contract just like the other loan deals we've struck over the past years.
