David is a no`9 Openda is definitely not a no` 9.
The Belgian is obviously the more talented but they are different. I guess we went for Openda since Vlahovic is still here.
Openda can and will play on the left lots of games switching with yildiz. He is actually a very good player and i expect a lot of things from him.

Its a shame to lose Kolo Muani i will say again. Next summer when Susan goes to inter merda for free, we will have to look for a striker that floped in the premier league and pay similar fee as the one for Muani and that does not make me happy at all.

The problem with Kolo Muani not coming is that we will need a striker next year and this year we will rely a lot on Vlahovic and we all know what relaying on Vlahovic means after 3 seasons. Kolo Muani did very good here and looked like a serious striker who you can build for the years to come, he fit perfectly in the team and was decisive in a lot of moments.

Fuck Susan and PSG.

GDM posted this numbers:

Juventus have reached an agreement with Leipzig following yesterday evening's breakthrough: the parties have reached an agreement for a loan (for €3 million) with an obligation to buy linked to sporting objectives, based on €42 million .
That's better, but performance objectives too. If we qualify for CL and this guy plays little part, were stuck with a player we don't need.

His goal record looks decent for a guy who obviously gets very involved in the build up and drifts wide.

Yep he is a pretty proficient attacker even if mainly a speedster.

He will suprise some in Tuz when they realzie he is more natural scorer/assister then Kolo Muani, even if I prefer Kolos archetype for the teams needs.

Does this club even have scouts? Because all we do is sign players who had a great game against us. As in, do we only scout our opponents? Openda seems exciting but I was expecting Kolo :rolleyes2:

dunno about tuz, but my issue with openda is that he's not a natural 9 like vlahovic. current tactics would have comforted randy much better as you can feed him with long balls and since he's a big enough guy and a decent passer he won't have problems holding and distributing the ball. openda is 10 cm shorter than randy, feeding him with long high balls is useless. same with david. but of course tactics can - and should - be adapted, so it's on tudor to make everything click. yildiz is a passer, so is openda, so there's potential

Openda is very similar to David. Both are second strikers and not CF’s. We have been trying to move Dusan. Clearly we have no plan.
just my uneducated guess: the plan might be to replace vlahovic with kolo muani next summer :boh:

I agree with all of that. Lack of size and different playstyle means you have to use Openda and David in very different way then the hold up qualities of Kolo.

Tho Openda more of a 2nd FW then David, David despite lacking size and well rounded, is at best inside the box, his movement and opportunistic scoring style means he can still do well as main 9.

Openda drifts alot and is proficient counter attacker and nonstop mobile player, so will definitely be needed to used in different way.

For this season its fine with Vlahovic still here as the physical big 9.

But next summer and season will be interesting to see what happens.

My guess is Kolo Muani will still be in the market then for us to pursue lol

But PSG played hardball, they have in mind that Juve must really need Kolo and put high valuation. In the end we act assertively and put boundary not to be played by other club.

Openda option still a good one, he will surprise us

I think he’ll take Chico's spot in the starting lineup, and Zhegrova and Chico will become the attacking options who come in after the 60th minute to shake up the opponent’s defense.
now Tudor has a lot of options in attack, and right now there are about three players sitting on the bench who can each come in and change the game. If we had the same kind of depth in midfield and at wing back, the team would have no problems.
