Doing a little dive into his numbers since hes been at juve, and Kelly may just be underrated lol. 55% total duel percentage, in line with Gatti and superior to Kalulu, whos really weak in the air but the best of the group in ground duels. Kelly is also better on the ball than both.

Of course the sample size is a little different, but maybe the first impression, when he was thrown into the fire, has clouded judgement a bit. Same with the unfair comparisons to Huijsen. Tudor seems to like him, maybe he was right. That said, Cabal should be legitimate competition for him if/when he gets fit.

It was a hard jump for him, from newcastle's bench to juventus starting 11...thats even bigger jump than estigarribia's when he came from uruguay.

Thanks cuntoli, the biggest fraud in football history. Hujisen is laughing

Cmon now Cabal played like what 7 matches for us? his left foot is about the only thing that would make him in any way shape of form competition for Kelly, he has proven nothing as a left CB in a back 3, for all we know he could be worse than Kelly.

And if we want to sign his replacement, possible one is Kiwior due to Arsenal interested in Hincapie but transfer would be €25m as reported. Dont think we will spend €25m for LCB for now

Comparisons with Gatti and Kalulu aren't exactly up to Juve standard either but I get what you're saying...

He's very athletic so he doesn't get killed in open space. I thought Veiga was way worse than him 1 v 1.

Kelly is pretty bad at awkward balls though. The best he can do is just punt it, rarely keeps possession.

I also think hes better than Cabal

Not a bad start after the first two games. Maybe some of Bremer’s magic actually rubbed off on him.

Who knows, maybe there’s a half-decent footballer hiding in there after all :snoop:

Between gatti kalulu and kelly i trust kelly the most on the ball. Hes also better in the air than kalulu and not mentally challenged like gatti. He just needs to build his strength up, he plays too soft, or at least did last season.

Yeah, but he also needs to work on his positioning. That complete left side of ours is a liability (Kostic, Joao Mario when playing on the left). Tudor and his team need to work on this pronto.
