Sells one of the best CB prospects in world football for peanuts , fails to sign his first FIVE targets.

Last week of the transfer window and is now considering buying an injury prone Newcastle reject.

Guintoli needs to be fired.

You've posted a link from a fan site that is 100% fabricated. No quotes and no sources.
I'm working but I do see a source... IlBianconeri and they name TS.

I remembered reading it too. Doesn't matter much now 'tho. Result is the same. And having immediate cash is a different thing to loaning someone. So the comparison is dumb either way.

The limited cash at hand is always going to be a huge problem. It was in the summer and even more now. Reports coming 'through we'll only sign one defender too.

Huijsens fee is payable in 5 years so its not even immediate cash. The comparison is not dumb.

We immediately paid for Cabal though and a 4th goalkeeper that wasn't needed.

You are wrong man just accept it and move on.

Kelly is such a random name to be linked with that I'm still trying to get my head around.

The only conclusion I have is that, Giuntoli saw Tomori and thought, we need to do one better, we need to bring another Tomori, so simplistically looks at EPL.

First he looks at Tomoris ex club and finds utility T shaped prospect in Veiga. Then he looks around for any unwanted Cb in EPL, it's at this point their were rumours Fenerbahce were interested in Lloyd Kelly. Giuntoli came to read of this in the daily mail, gets on the next flight to Newcastle and discuss.

The Renato Veiga track is slowly cooling down, Lloyd Kelly remains the first name for the Juventus defense. —@SkySport

So let me understand this. We went from Hancko>Tomori>Danso>Silva>Viega>>>>>>>>Lloyd Kelly. Wow, that's quite the disappointing progression.

Is there anybody we could go after that's even worse than Lloyd Kelly? Could we find someone who is so bad and unknown/old that we could be even more shocked? I think we should keep exploring options. Perhaps we could seek someone from a relegation battle side. Maybe Danilo D'Ambrosio would join? He has a LOT of Serie A experience.

It's an immediate plusvalenza. So yeah, it is in the books and does make it dumb.

Goalie? Dude, just look at what Szczesny did yesterday... It's been funny for about a week but everyone knows we needed one and it cost us how much more this season?

Cabal? Yeah, was Huijsen going to play left back now?

Many things didn't go to plan but Huijsen's sale was not a problem until 2 defenders tore their ACL.

Just let Toli know that you are available for cheap when he finally gives you a call.

You missed Araujo too, but he scored an own goal last night bullet dodged?

Giuntoli definitely got his sporting director qualifications in a raffle.

They still won though. We didn't.

Well, I wouldn't say "cheap." I'm not a cheap date. However, I could certainly add grinta and life experience at my age, and I did win our state championship in high school playing as a ball-playing sweeper. We were the kings of 1-0 victories.

So I think 20k a week is a reasonable offer for someone like me. Keeps the wage bill down and of course I'm available for free transfer.

There is very little between Perin and D'Gregorio not enough to justify that transfer when there were more important issues that needed solved.

Most people were in agreement that Huisjen's sale was bad long before any of our defenders got injured. Even a simple buy back option would have made too much sense.

You are very a biased and deluded football fan.

How much did we pay extra? 2 million...? And Szczesny's contract was running out. It's more than justifiable.

You think many teams like buy back options? I'd have liked that too but that shit is easily thrown out like it's FM. Beggars can't be choosers. I know who's delusional and lost sense of reality when saying stuff like that.

Biased? Meh, I've named multiple mistakes. But I haven't seen any praise from the opposing group. It's in between as usual.

I never wanted Szczesnye from day one I don't care about him

Since when were we beggers that we do desperately needed to sell one of our best prospects for peanuts?

A club like Bournemouth would have been glad to get someone like Huisjen even with a back option. It's not that far fetched.

@Stevie

Juve sell Huijsen for 13m and buy Kelly for 15m….

And i thought we’d had some bad Directors of Football.

I like Lloyd Kelly, for a mid level Pl club like us he was a good player. Very good some weeks and not so good in others, some good attributes but also some obvious weaknesses to his game. A bit like Lerma, a very good player for a club like us but not consistent or well rounded enough to make the step up to an elite or semi elite tier club.

I expected Kelly to end up at a Palace style club too for those very reasons. He wasn’t like Solanke, showing that he could perform every week at a high level with no notable weaknesses to his game.

I think he will find it very hard up there. Their fans are already on Eddie’s back due to his transfer policy and they are expecting to sign players who can elevate them to challenge for the top four again, I’m not sure they will react well to Kelly playing well some weeks if he fails to turn up in others. Especially considering they are clearly very aware of his reported pay packet.

I just hope that his decision to make the jump doesn’t have too much of an impact on his mental health, if he found it difficult to cope with a hundred or so Bournemouth fans booing him I’m not sure how he’ll manage with thousands of far less forgiving Geordies doing the same.

2 million for anticipating a huge need ain't much, is it?

Price was too low for Huijsen, def. Said that in the summer too. The boy only wanted to go there 'tho which gave them a very strong position. And it's not as if he was tearing it up already. Same was said for Soulé and look at that. It goes both ways. But I'd say 25 mil would've been much more correct imo.

Not many deals get done like that. It's usually when the buying team has no leverage whatsoever. Not when the selling team needs money. We all realise transfermarket dynamics aren't that easy but get caught up in emotion too often
