4-2 and still an awful game. If it weren't for Torres you shouldn't couldn't watch Liverpool. He's worth every penny, but boy, what a horrible, horrible team.

This might go down as the worst Champions League in history as well.
Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. That's just ...

Liverpool offered nothing over two legs and basically robbed Arsenal. The only good thing was some Fernando Torres magic. Other than that they sucked. And the quality of the games was extremely poor. Unless you think that kicking a ball about for an odd 80 minutes is what it's all about. I saw a wonderful Walcott run and I saw a great Fernando Torres goal. Other than that the two games were piss poor.

Oh I agree. We suck. We have about 4 quality players. Carra, Gerrard, Torres and Masch. Everyone else is mediocre. We probably need to pull a Chelsea and spend mad money on players who can make an immediate impact. We are about 2 steps behind the league leaders in that area. But you know what? We won.

I think we can take the Manc's if they make it past Barca. This group of Manchester boys haven't played on this level in a while. Hopefully experience will outweigh talent.

I'm not denying that. But a win drowned in controversy after 180 minutes of boring football cannot be quite as sweet as dancing your way into the semis.

In Liverpool's defence, games in the knckout stages of the CL are rarely full of brilliant football.

A combination of the away team always being defensive and the home team wanting to avoid conceding an away goal doesn't make for attractive football.

Liverpool have been boring for five years. The one game in which they were okay was against Milan, I guess. Even if they only played well for 10 minutes, it was still spectacular.

Liverpool have been boring for longer than that.

It goes back to the Houlier days, when I developed my dislike of Liverpool, when they were horrible to watch and just relied on Owen, much like they rely on Torres just now.

I would prefer to win with good football, who wouldn't? But I as well as yourself will take a poorly played win over a well played loss any day.

I thought the first leg against Inter was our best game in two seasons.

it's so true, sure everyone would love to have an incredible team playing sexy football while winning, but Liverpool doesn't have the money or the players or the youth setup to do this. so, we win with what we have. that's what most teams do. we're just better at winning with shit players
