Congrats Liverpool, i was watching their game and when Riise scoreed I was like...Gooooaaa!! (although I doubt it would have gotten past Cech) It still was a pleasant goal to watch.

I hope Liverpool can kick chelskis ass consistantly this season, without the bottom clash blunders..they look to have a more balanced team with plenty of speed this time....all they need is a decent Target man

@ Mikhail: Thanks John. I just don't like it when people try to shit in my ice cream, especially when the ice cream is a win over Chelsea with Agger in the back line.

@Byrone: Thanks for the words B.

@ Burke: Yeah thats it. :D

Reds agree Kuyt fee
By Peter ORourke - Created on 17 Aug 2006

The Reds have been chasing the Dutchman all summer and have finally agreed a deal with Feyenoord.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has admitted he was looking for one more striker after letting Djibril Cisse and Fernando Morientes leave Anfield this summer and it appears he has got his man.

A number of clubs including Newcastle were keen on Kuyt, but Liverpool look to be on the verge of landing the prolific forward.

Kuyt is expected on Merseyside later on Thursday to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms.

The 26-year-old admitted it would be a dream to join the Premiership giants.

"For me, Liverpool is sure to be the dream club I was looking for," said Kuyt.

"There was more interest from abroad, but for me there was nothing of the calibre of Liverpool, a brilliant club with an enormous reputation, fantastic support and a fabulous history. It is an honour to play for a club like that."

Feyenoord chairman Jorien Van den Herik revealed the club did everything to keep Kuyt at De Kuip, but could not stand in his way of a dream move to Liverpool.

"We did everything we could to keep Dirk at Feyenoord," said Van den Herik. "We went a long way to doing that and Dirk was open to that, but we knew that the chance was he would leave if his dream club came in. Liverpool is his dream club.

"Many clubs have tried to contact Dirk over the recent period, but he's said no to clubs every time because they were not appealing enough despite there being many renowned clubs among them.

"That characterises Dirk's attitude: either Feyenoord or my dream club."

been a while since i was able to watch the epl, so here i am now watching shef-pool. dear mother of good it's horrible. the ball is in the air 80% of the first half. liverpool is the better side perhaps, but it's not looking good at all. both rise and carragher are out with injuries. fabio aurelio with the best chance from a free kick which was beautifully parried by keeper kenny. hope rafa does something from half time, i got some money on this game.
come on reds!!

yeah, i dont think shieffeld's manager would be soo happy with that.I think we will hear his opinion abt the referree soon :D

Anyway Liverpool will need to play much better than that if they would be contenders this year. And they have carragher and risse injured.
