Also, if ultra-long-shots Liverpool do somehow win the CL, and Everton take 4th place in the EPL, everton may be forced to give up their CL place to Liverpool in exchange of a UEFA cup place! would be a hillarious twist in the old rivalry!

it's crazy that we god from the Newcastle performance, to the CL one....if only we were more consistent!! we have potential, and Benitez is doing the right stuff imo, but we still have a way to go to reach the consistency and mental strength necessary to be a real threat. until then, all I can see are more hopes dashed.

Yeah, or the FA could ignore Liverpool and give the place to Everton regardless!! Mental that that's up to the FA.

yeah, I know. a make or break game for us. if we win, it will boost our confidence, and if we lose, then we will be depressed and in a huge hole point wise. GO REDS!!!

are you sure? afaik winners of the cl qualify for the next year's tournament automaticly.

no, they don't. saw it in the rules. not that we'll win it anyway:(

Rule 1.3 states: At the request of the national association concerned, the Uefa Champions League title-holders may be entered for this competition ... if they have not qualified via the top domestic league championship.

"If, in such a case, the title-holders come from an association entitled to enter four teams for the Uefa Champions League, the fourth-placed club in the top domestic league championship has to be entered for the Uefa Cup."

I don't think Juventus will beat Liverpool. We've never been good against English sides. Though we are against Spanish... :)

Xabi Alonso is also out,no?

We have to negate their fast players and Cisse's absence has definitely made our job easier.Against skilful opponents we stand a good chance of cancelling out their offence, but there is no real counter to pace.
