Baros took an age to control that ball. A truely competant defence (or keeper for that matter) would have closed him down.
i have to agree, he well and truelly ragged that goal, nearly loosing it every time he tried a turn, and the defence, well what the hell were they doing??

Baros' goal was awesome, he is simply fantastic, he should move to serie A and be a regular first team player, a man of his calibre doesnt deserve a bench/rotation role in Liverpool!, especially not because of Cisse, who is only fast and a powerfull finisher, but lacks everything else.
emo man, cisse has provided the reds something they completly lacked, aerial control, cisse has been providing great flick ons but also held up the ball very well, allowing liverpool to build the play up more.

im interested in watching garcia stay as a support striker, looks pretty mobile with inteligent runs, hopefully liverpool can make best use of him and provide me some intresting viewing this season...as i will be there :D

I just saw the match on replay!!!!! first time I've seen Liverpool play in 6 bloody years! our defence was unimpressive, to say the least, and between Cisse and Garcia, we had more perfect chances that they missed than Monaco had chances period! Garcia was impressive, but really missed some quality chances! Gerrard was quite good, Kewell also not bad, but I thought Riise was very weak-we should get rid of him!!

well ill be watchin te reds at every home game...and if they play like that then i will be very happy, they played a much more intricate passing style...dictated by gerrard.

Xavi Alonso and luis garcia are gonna provide the spice they have been lacking,. with josemi and finnan on the right, and kewell and the poors man roberto carlos on the left...they should be fine and dandy this year.

Come On, Riise is not that bad plus it's normal that any player won't play all the games with the same level

Riise is very good and he'll do something this season .. He'll be effective with Liverpool

I'm just telling what I saw-he was very ineffective, and lost the ball severeal times a little too easily. But overall I'm happy with how we played, and I think we will be getting better and better :thumb:
