I apoligise for that earlier quote a friend took over my computer.im not even a liverpool fan though he is,sorry for any offence he may of caused.

Not to that extent....Don't forget that he's only 1 player in an 11 players team..Yes, He's Important to the team and we need him but Life Won't Stop without Him and We Would Still be able to play and win Trophies

Though I Don't this to happen....I don't want him to Leave Anfield

Gerrard may leave if Liverpool doesn't do well enough to earn their place in CL... But I can't see that happening, 'Pool has pretty good squad and better coach (at last) so they should do fine... I don't know about their defense though, Henchoz hasn't signed a new contract, right?! Hyypiä is great in EPL, and I've heard that Benitez wants to get rid of Finnan... And who are the others, Juanma, Riise?!

It seems that Benitez wants to go with a back line of:
Josema (sp?) Carragher Hyypia Riise

From what little I've seen, he was an idiot to bring in Josema, who's no better a right back than Carragher or Finnan, while neglecting the centre of his defense. Hyypia is indeed an excellent defender, but he's slow enough that he needs a pacy partner in defense in order to free up the midfield from some of its covering duties. Instead of buying someone for there, he's using Carragher, the only defender I can think of who is actually slower than Henchoz! Riise is a good player, but his confidence can't be that high after Houllier ignored him last season, preferring the less attack-minded Carragher in left-back!

There's a lot of work to be done there before Liverpool are able to press the top three.

yeah, it's Josema, my bad... :wallbang:

yeah, it's clear that Hyypiä needs a pacey CB with him if they're planning to win more than the 4th place in EPL, but IMO Henchoz could do fine with him for this season... My guess is that 'Pool will finish 4th in the end of the season...
