Indeed, Dominic.

Most of those players just aren't good enough to start in a side with aspirations to be champions.

A top class winger or two is what they need to mount a serious title challenge next season.

We have a go at Secco for signings like Tiago and Almiron, but Liverpool really take the cake. So much money spent(or rather wasted) on players like Kuyt, Babel, Voronin, Benayoun. Had Liverpool invested better there, had they actually bought one quality forward to complement Torres and one or two quality wingers instead of playing makeshift nobodies who're really (poor)forwards there, they could've been a real force.

Their central midfield is made of steel, as is their defence and they have one deadly striker. Imagine if there were a few quality offensive midfielders.
I wouldn't call Babel a waste. The kid has loads of potential. Veronin was free. And yes Kuyt and Benayoun were bad. Should have just bought Quaresma. Apparently we've already got someone big signed for the summer. Hopefully its not another damned central midfielder.

I have to say though, with Rosicky injured, all 4 wingers Liverpool have would make our team.

Come back to me in a year about Babel. I bet he'll still be a kid with loads of potential.. In other words: he won't have improved a bit. Useless player.

I reckon Benitez considered Kuyt and Benayoun as big signings as well.

I don't know about that.

If you view RVP as SS and Hleb on the wing, that only leaves one spot.

And then Benayoun or Babel would be better than Diaby or Eboue.

Is more signings really the solution to Liverpool's problems?I dont think so.I remember last season people were talking about how they lacked a top quality finisher. The got Torres and struck gold, and yet they failed to challenge for the trophy.I think they suffer from a mental block or something. They will get the required results in Europe, but come the EPL,and they fall flat.

Is the problem Rafa Benitez?Perhaps.I thought the 'He's more comfortable in the Cups than he is in leagues' theory was crap, but im starting to believe it now.

certainly benayoun and kuyt were both a waste of money. babel was a good signing, but i'm not sure we're the club to develop him. nice to beat arsenal to him, but i fell that had he gone to arsenal he would become much better

At least I know how to tackle without leaping in 2 footed...

I really don't know what Wenger sees in him, he is just athletic, nothing else. No technical ability and no football brain.

This team don't deserve a thread in Juventus forum. This is huge disrespect for our fans who died in heysel while many of liverpool fans are still talking about heysel like glory.
What Liverpool did deserve respect more than enough to make a true football fan forget. Even if their relative died in Heysel. Afterall its Liverpool FC we're talking about here and not their fans. And its just a mere accident. I'm pretty sure even some Liverpool fans feel bad about it. The ones who dont are just pure garbage to the society
