The game finished 0-0, but it was lively game, I quite enjoyed it. What Walter Mazzarri tactically done was very interesting, especially way Sampdoria's trio, Volpi, Palombo and Del Vecchio closed down technically superior Lazio players.
Those who impressed
1. Ziegler: Its very rare for a player to get standing ovation when he just got sent off. Well Ziegler is an exception to that. Defensively very solid, this talented defender can play a bit of football as well. Chiellini got a competitor.
2. Mudingayi: Beast on defensive end, and so quick, he is able to cover so much of the game. He can be a bit more solid with his passing, but he is one of those players whose strenght is so noticeable, he can probably get away with it. Imagine much much much better version of Zanetti.
3. Mazzarri; great coach one of the future.
4. Pandev; fantatic feet, just need to score a bit more.
5. Linesman: when can we say in a modern game, linesman didnt get a decision wrong. He deserves a pay rise with his performance.
Sinners
1. Mutarelli, his gesture for yellow card which got sent off Sampdoria's best player Ziegler was disgrace. It was a harsh red card anyway. To his credit, he works his socks off. But Mutarelli robbed us fans the pleasure of Cassano's late entry.
2. Pieri; had to equal the square with Lazio, Pieri decided to clutch his face when Behrami struck him on the chest. Referee didnt buy it this tme.
3. Sammarco; missed a golden chance because he couldnt control the ball. A ten men down, a goal graping to finish at 90mins, and he couldnt deliver. Antonio would have finished that with his eyes closed.
4. Makinwa; since he came on I didnt see him get away from his marker one time. Rocchi was hardly brilliant, he was much more effective. Its pity, because I still believe Makinwa with full confidence will be handful for any defence.
5. Referee. Had he not been foolish enough to wield to Mutarelli he would have been my MOM. You cant swayed by players like he did. Apart from that, he showed what referee should be about.
