I'm with respecting local cultures but local cultures must also respect foreign culture in such an international event like World Cup which is once every 4years. Although what they're also doing is anything but cultural, it's a stupid Chinese instrument used to annoy people. Drums would be more likely to sound acceptable and Drums are part of the African culture, but bee noise was never.

I'm not saying Vuvuzela is not good but constant Vuvuzela is annoying as fuck and if doesn't piss you off then you should know it's pissing millions of people and that you're minority in this case.

I can't believe how some of you are ok with this one. The WC is the highlight of the year and chanting and bans do turn the game into one nice atmosphere but Vuvuzela makes me feel like I'm living in some Bee community.

as far as i know TV viewers and tourists make up the majority of income profit for the event. you try to make the atmosphere as pleasing as possible to your customer, not as unpleasant.

if you go into any business joint these days. and you have a legit complaint aout something they do, they will listen to you, if enough people complain about it, they will change it to they don't lose customers.

Like I said, I'd take those vuvuzela and beat the fans with them until they start to make the same sound.

I'm not sure if I'd go for a ban, but it's pretty silly to use it during the football match. If anything, I think it should be used when African teams are playing and not always. It kills the football atmosphere and it's stupid to watch without hearing chants and celebrations as it adds a lot.

it's their tradition and they are doing it for years...even when the national club teams are playing in their league they are blowing the vuvuzelas.. You can't ban them. As all nigerians will play their songs from trumpets and drums or ucraineans will drink votka and puke in 2012..

I'm not mad. I think it's silly that TV viewers are trying to swing around their influence when they're not even at the event. It's as if people would just rather watch the World Cup as a massive multiplayer XBox Live version of FIFA 2010 with international teams at the controls.
