Calciomercato

In Francia ha vinto solo una Coppa nazionale (2011-2012) e un titolo di giocatore dell'anno in Ligue 1 (2010). La sua voglia di rivalsa potrebbe essere l'arma in più per la Juventus.

In France he won only one national cup in 2011-2012 and was player of the year in 2010. His motivation will be an extra weapon for us.

based on what?

Because he's not Italian?

I don't think he is major improvement on what we currently have, he may score a few more than Matri and Quags but i hardly expect him to be scoring freely as some here might think.
It's normal that some are excited about this transfer, if you understand the context - not one of our striker scores consistently. You might get that with Lopez, and since we create a lot (in normal circumstances) I'm sure he'll thrive.

Excitement from some doesn't mean they expect him to be Falcao.

That is what concerns me the most, we end up paying 9 mill for a dead horse who we can't sell like tiago, thing i liked more about the Drogba deal is that it was a good short term fix, but this is an actual investment to sign a player on a permanent deal
If I were to respond to this post in a serious manner I would exceed my 10 point limit for infractions. This is Croniesque posting right here.

You're going full retard (not talking about the Drogba part).

Depending on his wages, this is a very, very good transfer for January. Unless you're owned by Abramovich, it's hard to buy expensive strikers in the winter mercato. Lopez is much better than any striker who we would realistically get in January.

Sure, MAYBE we would get Drogba, but he could be out at the AFCON until February. Plus his wages would be sky high. Llorente is coming in the summer, it sucks that Bilbao had to be such principled jerks about it and not just sell him, but they're lose in the long run.

We basically have a choice (and by we, I mean Marotta, Conte, and Paratici) of Borriello (he knows Conte's system, Conte likes him, not doing terribly at Genoa), Immobile (young, could blossom and be great or struggle), or Gabbiadini. Gabbiadini falls under the same category as Immobile, he's got lots of potential, and has shown some chops already but might not cut it at Juve.

Lopez is proven, he's scored 19 goals in 47 CL appearances. Not a great ratio, but not a bad one considering the quality of defenders he was going up against.

as i said say LL has a rubbish time between now and the end of the season, yet we're obliged to pay 9 mill and we're stuck with him right? yet its easy for people like yourselves to just blame it on Marotta and deny that you ever wanted Lopez to begin with
Most January signings don't come good right away. There's always a settling in period when a player switches leagues.

Lets just say LL has a rubbish remainder to his season at Juve, we still have to pay the 9 mill and we're stuck with him. Then what? who's going to want to pay for a 30 year old?
Do you really think that or are you just fixated on Drogba? Comparing LL to the deadweight we used to carry around is just silly.
