We had a great chance to rebuild from almost scratch & wasted it. The inexperienced board & their weird transfer policies complicated by a coach who punishes mistakes by banishments to players he dislikes (Criscito, Tiago etc) & encourages others who are totally useless (Nocerino etc). I see this as a missed opportunity & now we have to do it again. By calling Lippi back to coach looks like a stop gap measure which we don't need right now. If we have to succeed we need to get rid of all these amateurs on the board & get some decent scouts. Some of our best players are already too old & they will not function forever. We should have taken advantage of this year without european football to try & build a base which we could solidify after qualifying for europe next year. Now it seems we might miss the boat & get back to spending double the amount. Depressing.

:agree: If we had of bought three world class players last summer instead of the calamities of Andrade, Almiron and Tiago, and bought another three this summer we could have had a good squad ready to challenge for Cl and the Scudetto.

But now our board have set us back a year because we now have to replace the players we just brought in like Molinaro, Ciscito and to a degtee Sali and Nocerino.

You make a very good point. Besides Iaquinta, i dont think any players brought in over the summer have been effective. andrade, grygera, molinaro, tiago, almiron, nocerino...we should be completing the squad this summer rather than starting from scratch again.

maybe you are right but I believe it would have been very hard to get world class on our return to serie A and I wouldn't write these guys off
Andrade is injured, Nocerino and Molinaro are still young and Tiago definetly has the potential, Grygera showed us last week that he can play
maybe we should have more patience with these guys

    Moggi to Juve:

    "Bring back Lippi"
Hes takes it one step further even. Moggi predicts Lippi will take Ranieri's position next season.

I'm probably going to be hated for this but imo moggi should shut up. He's really getting on my nerves with his stupid comments like "if i were in charge we would have got ronaldo" aso. Why doesn't he get busted already. His comments are just useless. He may have done a lot of good for juve (and i do see that, and i am thankful for that) BUT, let's not forget that he destroyed juve in the end. I doubt he really has insights in juve management. If i were juve, i would really keep distance to him, because we will never be forgiven what happened if we keep praising moggi

He didn't destroy Juve, we know who did. His comments however serve a purpose. They continue to call Juve's coach and managers into question and show the managers that we the fans still support him and the triade and can't stand them.

Lippi Will Replace Ranieri - Moggi

Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi claimed he already knows who will be the team's coach next season, and it isn't Claudio Ranieri...

Ahead of Juventus' delicate home match against Napoli tomorrow night, Luciano Moggi has decided to speak out and make some 'shocking' declarations again. According to the disgraced former general manager of the Bianconeri, the team's next coach will be World Cup winner Marcello Lippi, who has already been at the club in two separate, and very successful, stints before.

"I don't think [Claudio] Ranieri will still be Juve's coach next year," he said, "independently from where they end up in the table. His successor will be Marcello Lippi, but the management can't make the same requests they did with Ranieri and then change things along the road, everything would fall apart."

Moggi believes the Juve management asked Ranieri to reach the Uefa Cup at the start of the season, but later they decided that Champions League qualification was the minimum objective.

"I think the current management shows a lack of experience. [Jean-Claude] Blanc and [Giovanni] Cobolli Gigli both knew what the initial objective was, but when the results were better than they expected, they weren't happy, they started getting over excited, which is typical of people who don't know what they're doing," he blasted.

"After that they said the third place was the minimum target and that the Champions League objective could not be failed, and that led to a tense environment which was unnecessary, causing the team to get just one point in three matches."

I can't decide how much Moggi knows.

He will obviously still be fairly aware of what is going on but it could also just be attention seeking.

I really hope he is right though.

Gsol, That is certainly one factor which points to this rumour having some truth in it.

Has the situation with Lippi's son being the agent of Juve players (including Chiellini I think) been resolved or could their be a problem with conflict of interest legislation?
