Michael Jackson isn't the only one finding himself in a courtroom of late. Everyone's favorite pint sized female rapper Lil' Kim, aka Kimberly Jones, has got herself into a lil' bit of trouble. She's facing a lil' sentence consisting of a mere 20 years in the slammer.
Kim was convicted on charges of perjury and conspiracy - let's face it the girl isn't known for her wits and her lack thereof resulted in alleged lying to both investigators and a federal grand jury in regards to her involvement in a 2001 shooting.
Accusation #1: She swore she had no idea of the cause of the gunfight, and and it is alleged she did.
Accusation #2: She claimed her co-manager was not with her at the time of the shooting, however video camera footage can be some damning evidence when it shows you with someone you claim you weren't with.
Accusation #3: When shown a photo of Suif "Gutta" Jackson, another man thought to be involved in the shooting, Kim said she couldn't identify him - which is funny because it turned out he was a member of her former group Junior M.A.F.I.A.
In the end, Lil' Kim was acquitted of obstruction of justice - resulting in a possible 20 years in jail (five years on each of the three counts of perjury and the one count of conspiracy) and will find out the extent of her sentence on June 24th.
At her official website, she has left the following message. "I have confidence in our legal system and look forward to justice in my case. I would like to thank my amazing and loving fans for the overwhelming number of letters, e-mails, phone calls and expressions of support. It is very much appreciated, welcoming and gratifying during my time in need."
