Donnarumma has failed to agree on a new contract and won't take a paycut. With his current deal set to expire in June 2026, PSG have basically told Gigio he needs to fuck off tout suite. They've spent €40m plus up to €15m in add-ons to sign his replacement Lucas Chevalier from Lille.

Check out this PSG statement: https://www.psg.fr/en/content/lucas-chevalier-signs-5-year-deal-with-paris-saint-germain

“Comfortable on his line, in one-on-one situations, and in the air, he also has excellent distribution skills". Basically a big FUCK YOU.
I don't understand why they wouldn't want to keep him even with a larger salary, honestly. Chevalier is really good, but Dona is the best in the world. Maybe they just want to continue to develop French talent.

Donnarumma is the biggest shock for me, outstanding season last season and saved their ass on many occasions, then to just get dumped out of the blue is crazy.

They have decade and half of spending state oil money. Now they suddenly wanna do austerity measures on best goalie in the world who is he in his 20s still?

I think Enrique has been trying to rid of Donnarumma for a while now, they even signed Safonov last year to compete for the #1 shirt, it's only now Donnarumma won't extend his contract for less money (justifiably so given his season) that PSG now have their 'excuse' to offload him now instead of losing him for free.

They just want a keeper who plays with his feet, don't they?

Seems backwards to me. He's probably the best keeper around and they've just won the CL. How exactly are they going to improve on this, do the same but look a bit prettier?
