I have no way of saying this without sounding like a no-lifer, so I'll give it to you straight:

I was just how the members of our forum could 'socialise' outside the forum. I think it'd be great if we could arrange to play some online games together or something like that. A few things I had in mind are:

• Skype! This is a program I discovered a while ago, but never really looked into it much. It basically allows people to talk over the internet. I know things like this are a dime a dozen these days, but the sound quality is crystal clear.
  
  It's possible to have multi-user conversations, so I think it'd be cool if we could have 'conference calls'. It's much better than the built-in speech feature in MSN, and one cool application for it would be during matches, when some people could do some commentary work for us, and we'd all hear each other going nuts when Juve score a goal
  
  It's also great if you regularly call relatives who live overseas and don't want to pay for expensive international calls. You need a microphone of course though. I wanna hear all your interesting accents, so check it out at:

• Webcam - anyone brave enough with a webcam could throw up an offer to show their mugs to the rest of us. I've got a webcam, so there's the first offer :nervous: I've webcammed with a couple of forumers, and I thought it'd be interesting to see some more of you guys
  
  
  
• Online games - there's a bunch of fun little games we could play together on sites like Yahoo Games, such as Pool, Scrabble, card games etc. I've only played River so far and kicked her ass :devil: Any challengers?
  
  Of course there's also sports games, first person shooters (my favourite... anyone up for Quake 1 deathmatch? ), and I also love playing emulated games online. I dare someone to take me on at Xmen vs. Street fighter :devil:
  
  
  I have no idea why I'm doing this... a mixture of boredom and... well... I guess it's just boredom :sob:

  Martin also alerted me to the presence of an "echo bot" that records what you say and repeats it back to you, so you can test your microphone settings. You can use it by adding "echo123" to your contact list. I wonder if you can invite it to a conference

its a loooonnngggg story how i met them. ill tell you when i have a little more time, ill be in the city tommorow but maybe at night or on saturday ill write it out

it was the thursday in between our 2-1 win against milan and 4-0 win vs torino, nov 2002 i think

ok now back to my homework, im screwed. i have to do a huge report on bellerophon & chimaera, its 12 15, and i havnt started. i couldtn come home until like 11 because a " Armed African American" was running around my neigborhood with a gun, after tryign to rob a home. there were like 30 police cars an 100 cops, so we could get back. i dont think it ended well because about 2 hours ago i heard a gunshot an that was the end of it. its really strange since i live in a REALLY rich area (people are usually smart enough not to try and rob them as they all have like 30 000$ security systems)

i cant do that anymore :down:

they made some program for teachers where they enter a sentence or two of what you write and it brings it up if its on the internet anywhere. its supposed to prevent plagerism but moreover it was just made to piss me off:groan:

if you get caught doing it you now get something like 3 saturday schools, and the 2nd time is an F drop from the class. high school is so much harder than middle school:down:

Nah webcam pics r no good becos it is so blur.

I prefer taking my photo and upload to the ney using Imagebucket. At least the quality of the photo is still good.

Skype is a great thing, but I didnt use it much, since my microphone died and I didnt manage to get another

I don't have a working mike, and at any rate would struggle to use it without the entire lab looking at me like I was salking to myself. I've never rated yahoo games very highly, and I have connectivity problems with the college firewall.

Other than that, I'm game!
