Don’t understand the furore around Bonucci taking the penalty. He’s the captain, thought it was the right decision to take and his record is decent.

In that moment Susan had more to lose. He scores then he’s expected to score. He misses, the pressure on him piles on and perhaps his first touch and hold up play becomes even worse as his confidence plummets.

Part of the downfall of this squad is losing too many senior players in the dressing room in a short span of time and being replaced with a mixture of older players who have come for their pay day, may concentrate on their own performance but take no further responsibility to instil the right behaviours and the culture and some younger heads who care, want to develop but do not have the right leaders in the dressing room to learn from and take pressure off them

For his flaws, he cares about the club, is extremely professional and does work to try to maintain the behaviours and culture that have been passed down to him through the years. He’s probably the last one we have left in a playing capacity.

only chiellini and thuram can claim to be better than him
If we're talking past ten years solely then Chiellini and Barzagli are miles ahead. Benatia and Demiral was also better. If we're talking historically then I give up. He's not even close. Bonucci deserves credit, absolutely, but he is finished now and can only play in 532 now or if we sit on Perin's lap.

His defensive fragility would be offset by his brilliant play going forward.
However we played to his strength and over came his weakness.
Sadly his weakness is getting much worse.

still not the source of blame.

The ultras are idiots. Bonucci is right to drag the players infront of the supporters, they should be humiliated because they are humiliating us, let’s see if they have the level of charachter needed to bounce back.

Of all the shame going on at this club this wasn’t something that needed highlighting. Yet again the ultras being unhelpful. They should get after Agnelli if they want something productive to do

The point they are making is correct though. Del Piero never showed any weakness to the cameras, outside world or the fans.
As Buffon mentioned after losing the CL final, Del Piero told him not to cry on the pitch.

Whilst we are down at the moment, we are letting everyone else revel in our misery and destroying what little confidence the players have remaining.

Imagine making Bonucci the scapegoat for all of our problems and not Allegri or the management. Bonucci. The same guy who made sure every player came to apologise to the fans after our humiliation. One of the only guys on this team to actually give a shit.

Honestly we have some of the worst ultras in football.

Trust me management always wanted they become that way and stay that way.

This management invested in "family atmosphere" in the stadium 12 years ago.

Well, everything was cool until our ultras started blackmailing Agnelli so they can make profit out of free tickets. Agnelli had lots of problems because of that, he had to prove his innocence in court and after that he was done with them. I wouldn't say he wanted family friendly atmosphere since the very beginning.
